Very interesting to learn the history of closed lines. I live a few hundred yards from the Biddulph Valley Way, a former railway from Congleton to Stoke-on-Trent.
First video I've seen on your channel and I really liked this! So that little branch opened in 1910? That is quite late for a new railway to be brought into service - there is something similar up near my area. If memory serves, the local branch I'm thinking of opened around 1890 but lost passenger services in 1931 and closed entirely around twenty years later. One station building survives as a caravan park office. I love a nose along a closed line, and need to get out and do this myself.
Hi Sarah. Poor Beeching gets a bad rap. He was told by the gov to do an economic analysis and report. He did, but it was the gov that closed the lines. IIRC The weather has clearly put roses in your cheeks.
Nice presentation

Excellent video, very well researched 👍
Love the remains of Trentham Station, Great video Sarah.
9:37 I think that that alone is a very good reason, not to open or think about reopening a station at Trentham but the station at Wedgwood
brilliant video
Another gem! Absolutely love yr detours to show the local attractions. Thx again.
Excellent video as always 👍
Forgot to see this when it first came out. Well done Sarah. That has just gone on my bucket list for places to visit.
Brilliant video Sarah, it's always nice to see remains of a disused station still there to see. :)

Excellent, Sarah!
As I've said in your other videos, I enjoy listening into the history behind stations, even ones that are disused now.
Very good vid Sarah thank you x
Well presented and you might get snaffled by one of the larger production companies. Thanks for posting.
