I’d have to hear about HOW they feel to play and about the quality of the materials (if they’re different at all) to answer the question. Almost any guitar can be made to sound good with some nice pickups and a good amp.
Supposedly made better. Polished frets, more crisp (or tinny depending on your ear) and other things I'm not qualified to notice. Mexican sounds warmer. Fuller, imho. Mexico for rock and blues. (Maybe country if you like its "vibe") Japan for mostly anything else. Im oversimplifing for comments sake, but that's the way it seems. End of the day, its all personal preference. @amoalosretros8258
I've owned 2 Mexican Fenders and 1 Japanese one. With that very limited sample size I can say that the one I got had a much nicer feel than the Mexican ones and generally felt like it was made with more attention to detail.
I only ever tried one Fender Japan and one Mexican Fender. The Fender Japan I actually bought because of how good it was while for the Mexican one I wanted to buy it until I played it haha. There is a VERY noticable quality difference (from my experience)
I have listened over and over and over again, with my eyes open, (to see the difference and with my eyes closed). I could not hear anything but an absolutely fantastic guitarist playing some upbeat music! You're fantastic!❤👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Of course there is a difference, what if one is better than the other? I don't think so, they both sound amazing and have great designs, a song together would be crazy❤
Well.. seems to me that with right pick-up, the Mexico one's sound results a lil' bit more clear. But who knows... maybe choosing other two guitars, from Japan and Mexico, could be even the opposite. And in fact, Telecaster is mostly famous, and appreciated, for the (great) sound of the other one, single coil.
You should do a comparison of two of the same models instead of one solid and one hollow body. I would guess those wiuld sound different no matter where they're made.
I like Japan, because the quality is superior. I realize it is a relatively small sample, but I've never found a Japanese made I didn't like, never found a Mexican made I did like and US made is 50/50 at best. To be fair, I liked the sound of both of these, but in my hand, experience says I'll prefer the Japan.
I have an Estrada acoustic that’s over 50 years old. IMHO, it’s bias and opinion as to which guitar is better. The heart wants what it wants. Feel is something you can’t show in a video. For me, that’s the deciding factor. Pickups can be replaced easily enough, if it’s the tone at issue
Is it white and gold, or blue and black??? 🧐😂 I like the Japan build better, but there are too many unknowns. Things like cables, amps, wash boards, recording techniques, etc 🤷🏻
Mexico was a little brighter. and I have a feeling Japan may have felt a little nicer under your fingers, but I think Mexico may have felt slightly faster/easier to play.
What is that question? Is this a joke? Even the same guitar models from the same maker can sound different. And then u compare completely different models? Why are u not answering if there are different processes in making them instead this pointless video and title.
I think the colors are different
True
Might be the camera angle

Nah I don't think so
i have no clue but they both sound soooo nice
There is a difference: Japanese is made in Japan and Mexico is made in Mexico 😅

Japan hands down for me

In Asian country Japan is cheaper because lower taxes and stuff and I also a weeb so I prefer Japan stuff😅

With Japanes is more brighter sound. I like more Mexican because of color😊
Probably going to be more noticeable in the feel. Japan versions are known for better build quality, mexicans not so much.
I only ever tried one Fender Japan and one Mexican Fender. The Fender Japan I actually bought because of how good it was while for the Mexican one I wanted to buy it until I played it haha. There is a VERY noticable quality difference (from my experience)
Did you get your Mexican properly set up?
prefer the mex, somewhat more body.
The Mexican one sounds more tinny but I couldn't complain in good faith about either of them.
Build quality.
Japan, but be forewarned - check the pickups.

more like thinline or not
I own a 52 tele reissue made in Japan and it is a prized possession for me
Of course there is a difference, what if one is better than the other? I don't think so, they both sound amazing and have great designs, a song together would be crazy❤
The two tests had the most jubilant songs I heard in a while
That Tele is beautiful, what model is it?

Doesn anyone know what the japan guitars model name is?
seiji, what pedals do u use?

I loke both... both Japan a bit sounds interesting
🤔?
neck PU: J= milder M=bright
bridge PU: M=sharp
I'm not sure😅
agree

@@neon-green-apple so i want a neck microphone of japan and Mexican bridge...

Like Billy Corgan said "the white guitar sounds better"
what year and model are that thinline? it's beautiful
I guess 60s thinline
The Japanese guitar have a sharper voice and the Mexican guitar is a jazzy vibe

the japan fenders are so much more sexy

fender mexico sounds more full imo

La tonalidad
Japanese : Bright sound
Mexican : Warm sound
умничка
Japanese! The for far sound better and warmer. It seem Mexican are a bit plastic. Must be for extra plastic/poliuretan and lack of wood.
Black guitars always sound better.
japan is waaay better.. more opened sound
Several miles difference lol. It doesn't matter where they are made I am not going to buy another Fender product.
Fender mexico has a warmer tone than the fender Japan. Ijs 🎵🤷🏾♂️🎶
Hard to tell with that much reverb.
The Japanese is rounder at the low end in both examples.
....but they're two different guitars you're comparing a regular japanese tele to a mexican thinline tele....
Sound the same
