It helps that new players are reminded the harmonica needs to be handled carefully. Dropping may take the reeds out of tune.

I put my special 20 in my top pocket went up the ladder at work to help chase wire down a wall, bent over over weee bit to much and just about knock my guy accounta"bill" out. It was then I realized I could kill someone with a hohner.

I ordered 6 new "Hohner Special 20" harps in various keys today, because I was so, so, dissatisfied with my Harley Benton harps that came in a cracy cheap harp set I bought in a moment of stinginess...They all looked fine at first, but as usual you get pretty much what you pay for, and very much so in this case (I don't know what I was thinking...). BUT the bad HB harps I'm replacing (now redundant) can be suitable objekts to practise doing these mods and tweeks on. There's no catastrofy if I'm not succesful.... I already have new Hohner harps to play on.........

Nice guitar by the way, I'm also a Hagström owner. Mine is a -76 Scandi, that's a Strat copy... and I've had it since the early -80's, and never had any issues with it. A marvellous instrument quite simple...!

My first harmonica was a Hohner Blues Harp in B flat. Bought it at the BX at Bergstrom AFB in 1979. Now I have a Marine Band C.

I'm new to harmonica but I decided to look for a channel tonight. I get more out of using my ear. Anyway I clicked on yours first and immediately subbed! I'm not sure about the kind I have!! It has holes on top and bottom. I know most single hole harmonica are in a key. I studied music theory but only a few things helped me and it wasn't the tab mags..mthey helped some but simple things could be been taught and I'm a little aggravated I wasted time on tab instead of following my heart and ears. Anyway I have allot of 1uestions and think I found the channel I needed on first try! Some questions are as follows
1 the harmonica I am using has two rows and about 32 of them. I think it's chromatic but doesn't have a button ?
    2. How often and what do you clean it with and how often
3 From playing guitar and bass they make string ease ( think that's the name) but it lubricated the strings and fretboard..l...... so is there a wax or anything you put on a harmonica?
I just really am ignorant about the instrument and want to know.
P.S. I have 1 uploaded video of my original music I did alone and copyrighted but the imagery may be bizzare. It will sound better with good speakers or good headphones...check it out if you want. It was a different era of my life and uploaded in 2010 I am sure. It's called " What you don't know can hurt you" . I did the drum patterns, the mixing and all. So anyway not trolling just experiencing music in a new wat, very glad I clicked on this channel.

They are wind savers that block a reed hole that is not being played but air would leak through. Usually on chromatic harps. Watch a video on Chromatic maint.

It depends on how cheap the harmonica is and also how hard you blow/draw. Even on expensive harps ($100+) they can get out of whack as you play them if you play them hard.

The reeds are always tight when you first buy a Harp, you don't have to do this to get a quick response, all you have to do is play, break it in it will work fine.
