    Changing habbits require some significant amount of willpower.

      That's an extreme oversimplification
      It requires breaking down self-limiting ideas and trying new things
      Try telling a smoker to quit with willpower instead of 5 months of trying different things and learning about yourself, see which works better

    Lol ... sure, these tactics can work. Also helpful is risk management. Avoid great risks unless the rewards are comparable. Avoidance also plays into this.
