@@kenobi3 honestly you could just wipe it down with a cloth and it would still do a lot! If you have patience use Qtips to get dust out of the hard to reach areas!
Yo bro on my ps5 on like the front u see the little cracks there basically vents at the front theres dust in there on both sides hopefully u know what I'm on about shud I be worried
@@TheElusiveSquirrel yeah the plates scratched it a bit but it’s not deep and you can never see it, plus I didn’t even use force to open it up so I guess it would’ve happened regardless
it’s alright trust me it still works like on the first day and it’s clean 🙏🏽 which is the main point for me , some people’s plates got broken from opening it up so I’m good 😅
Wouldn't a data vac blow out 99% of the dust when going over the dust catchers, the fan, and the back exhaust (blowing it in and out the top and bottom)
@@TheElusiveSquirrel ok yeah I've been looking at videos to clean a ps5 but all of them say to take it apart just wanna dust it out and keep it running like it's brand new.
Coffee spilt on mines luckily it's design saved my A55 🤣 an it also happened while it was off most of the liquid was just sitting on top of it
Did you make the video about the fan adjustment?
Good video
without any bullshit
Thanks!
Really appreciate that, more coming soon!

Hope it goes well!
@@TheElusiveSquirrel OMG thanks my ps5 looks like I just bought it ❤❤
I recommend using so windex on the glossy front just a little though
Good idea!
Is it safe to use a regular vacuum on the dust catchers?
honestly I don't see why not, use the hose or a handheld one and it should work just fine!
@@kenobi3 honestly you could just wipe it down with a cloth and it would still do a lot! If you have patience use Qtips to get dust out of the hard to reach areas!
Used esd vacccum ir esd Air blower its much safer

Nope that is where dust build up will accumulate first! Use a Qtip or canned air to clean those vents
@@TheElusiveSquirrel thank uu
My console got a few scratches at the inside from opening up 😶
Oooooffff, not good. Did the plates scratch it or something?

I just found your channel and then realize the name.
My brother used to have the name without the. And it was from Xbox generate a name. 😂
I love that😂😂
You didn't clean the inside of the disc drive?
Nope, didnt want to tear the system apart more than the plates!
@@TheElusiveSquirrel is there a reason why you shouldn't use the air-can inside the slot?
@@kwk-r7x you can definitely do that! Honestly I just didn’t think of it at the time, mine was clean at the time. Great idea!
Its fucking impossible to open the sides ffs. On the ps4 is way easier.
I can't even lie to you, it does feel extremely sketch to pull the plates off lmao
I got my PS5 for $950 cash and I got it on January 9th

Yeah my glossy part is full of dust lol
The glossy part gets me triggered lol so dirty. so fast.
@@TheElusiveSquirrel maybe slap a skin on it ... I did and the dust actually stops collecting on that surface
@@john75470 good idea man!
It’s hard to open
the plates have a little resistance but much easier than other consoles :)
After a couple of tries I finally did it lmao your vid helped I thought I had to go further into the console to clean it

Yup I mention that in the video, specific slots even made to do that. I just didn’t have one at the time.
