7:19 - BTW, LeVar (whom you saw in the second clue) made mention of aa and pahoehoe lava while in Hawaii in S3E3 of _Reading Rainbow,_ profiling Thomas P. Lewis' "Hill of Fire".
The number of references to Star Trek can't be a coincidence: - Kneemoi (Pronounced Nimoy, as in Leonard Nimoy) - Planet (Gene) Roddenberry - Geordi gives out one of the clues in this episode
this was a good episode of carmen , got to love this program it got me so into it when the series was first aired. I wish Pbs would release carman on dvd blu ray even if the data is out dated it would be great for the memories and i would buy it in dvd form any day. I also love the henchman was from the planet rodenberry nice tribute to star trek creator Gene Rodenberry.
I Think that T.P.T.B Should do a reboot of this AWESOME Game Show, and have Present Day Celebrity's Giving Out The Clues, Like Actor Ryan Reynolds, Oscar Issacs, Jon Boyega, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, Chris Pratt, Chris Hemsworth, Sigourney Weaver, Mark Hamill, Dr. Phil McGraw, Leslie Jones, Michael B. Jordon, Richard Thomas, Donald Glover, W W E Star John Cena, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Etc. Etc.
"ACME Fruit-Net"?? I guess Carmen wanted the detectives to enjoy the "Fruits" of their labors. Har, har!!! Hey, why should only Greg, the Chief, Carmen & her gang, & Rockapella get to make all the bad puns??
Little known fact that the segment was filmed in the set of Star Wars TNG. I guess this was during his "Geordi La Forge" days and before he did "Reading Rainbow".
(*Greg bowls melon. Bowling monitor shows baseball themed “STRIKE” animation like in the old Brunswick Zone bowling alleys. Scorecard shows Greg’s first frame with “X” for the score*)
That whole Cannery/Canary Row joke. It's been done before. Ever see the Sesame Street movie "Follow That Bird"? Canary Row is the name of the street the Dodos live on.
Do rewatching this you realize how often they reuse stuff. This the second episode to use nimoy, the fruit skit (which they acknowledge with a joke) nana rap, and a clue from lavar burton. Like the just did a copy and paste job. They could have mixed it a little . *The Washington picture case.
That bit with the Peruvian musicians. I seem to remember at least two other season two episodes in which Greg talks to some guest players and asks them questions, the last of which is a far fetched one that they deny. Are either of those other ones available on youtube?
Speaking of the musicians, the one playing the panpipes looked familiar. Almost like Pepe Santana, that panpipe player in that episode of Shining Time Station (Mapping It Out).
Greg also forgot to include what that other little Andean instrument is -- preferably a "CHARANGO", which is kinda like a small guitar originally made from armadillo shells.
ALL 3 OF YOU PICKED ROCKY MONTAINS WAY A GO! (ROUND WIN CUE) LET'S DO IT QUICKLY COMING UP NEXT ROUND 2 AND THE BONUS ROUND STAY TUNED. AND BEFORE WE DO YOU GOT THE LOWEST SCORE AND MUST GET OUT OF HERE AND ENJOY THE BOX THE WAY OUT BYE-BYE.
21:47 'Ain't no mountain high enough!' Greg was having way too much fun there. 🤣
😂😂😂
This was my show and still is
Mine too.

15:23 Greg looking Rad in that backwards cap
I miss the 90's so much (born in '91)
In season 2, while the more familiar clothing for Rockapella was there, Scott Leonard still had a mullet. He sported a new hairstyle the next season.
Anyone wondering if Bharat became a neurosurgeon - nope. Dr. Reddy is actually a clinical eletrophysiologist at NY Presby’s Cardiology Department.
Congratulations, Bharat! :)

But what was Geordi doing on the bridge of the Enterprise? Shouldn't he be in Engineering?
"Transfer engineering to the bridge"

Truth or Consequences...got it right. Someone must be a mark for Cactus Jack.
God bless the panflute bands. It’s their whimsical music is what keeps the giant Guinea Pigs away.
The two part South Park episode "Pandemic"

For "ACME Fruit-Net", maybe Greg & the Chief should elope!!! No, they "Cantaloupe", but, oh, "Honeydew"!!!
@Dana Abel Greg used the cantaloupe as a bowling ball 🎳, after the Chief says "two of them?"
thank you now I won't have to ask Brett Jacquard if he still has the episode in his computer
All right, levar!
Little known fact that the segment was filmed in the set of Star Wars TNG. I guess this was during his "Geordi La Forge" days and before he did "Reading Rainbow".
Reading Rainbow came before Star Trek TNG.
Gosh, Chief, you think that Greg would be after that fruit more than a fruit fly would go after a fruit basket.
Double the effort
Scott Leonard delivers more fruit

That bit with the Peruvian musicians. I seem to remember at least two other season two episodes in which Greg talks to some guest players and asks them questions, the last of which is a far fetched one that they deny. Are either of those other ones available on youtube?
He does it with "Stoneheist", which I know is out there.
Speaking of the musicians, the one playing the panpipes looked familiar. Almost like Pepe Santana, that panpipe player in that episode of Shining Time Station (Mapping It Out).

I wonder if Bharath ever became a neurosurgeon.
If he didn't, it's probably b/c his "nerves" couldn't take it.
Nope, he became a cardiologist in Brooklyn.
Not even kidding.
NanaRap was the coolest.
Zoom ended more then 15 years ago
The original Zoom was from 1972-1978 and the revival aired from 1999-2005.
Named after Leonard Nimoy.
