For me tested 1000 of time anything which is haram or not a nesscity (time passing etc) movies, scrolling on the internet, tv series, song, games, non religious company etc rip of my motivations for doing something for the sake of Allah. And connecting with Quran with understanding like recitation with translation, watching tafseer, bayan ul Quran etc increase it like fire but the moment i fall into the above it goes away. So it is that simple but most of the people don't wanna leave the above and except they will have motivation. Follow these rules and always remember, i well do my best to not fall for any sin and will do what God wants me to do and if i don't give motivation for that then i will run toward Quran and motivates myself. Works everytime but it requires baring the feeling of pain or happiness because on these moments you are most verbal to do the above and leave the bellow. Majority will disbelive in what i said because they have never experienced it like that so try it out.
The Quran is how God talks to you and the prayer is how you talk to god. If you need help in this life pray. If you need help for your after life read.

Because the beginning of the verse says," And whoever turns a blind eye to the reminder of The Most Compassionate". Those are the ones Allah misleads. Another example is in Quran 61:5 when Prophet Musa's people deviated, Allah deviated their hearts. Guidance is guidance from Allah. Whoever turns away from his reminder, then Allah would mislead them for guidance is sought from Him.
