Apparently the movie's composer decided to "borrow" the song's refrain melody for use as the anthem.They also made SED's logo Oceania's & its fairly obvious that went with the "Oceania=Communism" propaganda shtick.

@@mytiamos No, you need to read On Authority. If you did, you would know it defends the need for some sort of authority in some parts of the economy, not totalitarian states like the GDR and the Stalinist USSR would become.
It is a mistake to just declare the communist party the most revolutionary force and hail it to heaven. There always has to exist critique on the party and its members and with songs like this, let alone the official GDR SED-party song, there is no room for these things.
