I have some doubts about saying that goodness is grounded in the virtues in a truth-making way because there are many different understandings of both truth-making and grounding . Both are shrouded with controversies. On top of that, there are issues brought up by Cuneo and Shafer-Landau in their paper The moral fixed points_, that give me worries. So I think it would be better to put the point in the less controversial view of _explanation . The having of virtues would explain why anyone (including God) is good.
I am no longer confident in Cudworth's objection because of Schroeder's paper on Cudworth and normative explanations.
