    On Carowinds...The park is likely the most invested park in the Cedar Fair chain and continues to be. After Fury, there was Copperhead which is arguably, (not adjusted for inflation), the most expensive single investment the company has made. Then there is Aeronautical, while other parks got 1 flat, Carowinds got 5 and an entire land. Next up is 2025. Not only are they installing a Snoopy Racin Railway, but a family water attraction, with another area redo. Angelo, I'm not sure how committed the industry is to wood right now. They are not very marketable, and are high maintenance. Carowinds recently surveyed for a giga dive, a water coaster, and a recording breaking family. My money is on the dive, and there will be a few more dives going to other parks in the future. The Gp loves them and they just work for parks.

    • @AngeloGiles
      @AngeloGiles  5 месяцев назад

      I hear you on that, but I do feel like they may be fully committed to Carowinds now, KD, Knotts and CP seems like that’s where they might wanna invest more money in. Although this could all change when the merge happens. I see what you mean about the wooden coasters. I did see they out that survey out for a lot of the parks, but they don’t usually go with any of those options I feel like lol. I could definitely see Carowinds get a dive for sure though, not too many around them, and they’re a capacity monster. Only time will tell though, thanks for watching and commenting!

      @Cap-ku6ok 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@AngeloGiles My feeling is that the park has already selected an attraction when the surveys are sent out, considering development is about a 3 year process. KD's wing has been under development for years, when you consider the leak from a few years back. But apparently the scope changed from, then to now. Last year Wonderland's survey had a blast coaster, clearly the park had made that decision earlier. Last year Carowinds survey had a power splash. But it is believed those plans were scrapped when SFGA beat them to the punch. That could explain why Carowinds got nothing for 2024, I don't ever remember the park skipping a year without doing some type of physical enhancement. BTW, what exactly is wrong with Eiffel Tower, I don't understand?

      @@Cap-ku6ok I’ve been wondering the thing about Eiffel Tower tbh, same for Delirium, they never wanna give updates on that type of stuff, and I never understood that lol. They’ve both been down for quite awhile, idk if it’s a structure issue or just a part they could be waiting on for the tower. As for Delirium it’s just baking in the sun at this point lol. But yeah, most coaster are two to three years ahead of time, as they take a little more time, CP already paid for there next coaster, KD wing coaster was supposed to come way earlier, but it wasn’t gonna be a launch. Volcano and the pandemic messed up a couple things, but they’re getting back on track, I don’t think they’re done investing in Carowinds at all, they still have a lot going for it, they even have a themed area now like you said.

    I definitely think Knott’s just needs another coaster that focuses on airtime. They’re pretty limited on space, though, so it would be hard to fit anything with camelbacks in.
    Valleyfair could do with a Vekoma STC. They desperately need more inversions in that park lol. Maybe they could even do one of those package deals where they get a family boomerang mixed in with it. I think that would be the best move.
    After KD gets its wing coaster, I would definitely love to see a hyper there. Since Apollo’s Chariot is only an hour away, though, maybe they could go with another company to build it; maybe give Mack or Vekoma a try?
    Also, KI needs something that is an absolute visual spectacle in the Vortex plot, so my thought is either a tilt coaster or a launched flyer.
    Cedar Point would do really well with a Big Bear Mountain-esque family launch, and it also sounds like they’re thinking about that with the surveys they just put out. Even still, I would love to see a launched flyer, an xtreme spinner, or, in a perfect world, I would love to see B&M make their own version of a true 4D coaster. Or maybe S&S can reinvent the tech on their 4D model to make them smoother and more reliable. X2 is Magic Mountain’s single largest leg up on Cedar Point.

      Yeah, these next couple of years will be interesting, especially with the merge happening in the next few years. CP apparently already signed the contract for there next coaster already lol. Great options and thanks for watching.

    • @CarolinaCycloneJames
      @CarolinaCycloneJames 5 месяцев назад

      I don’t think KD will ever get a hyper because of the fact that Apollos chariot is an hour away. Both of those parks are locked in battle in terms of height and speed so that explains the Giga that KD got. Now if BGW gets an Giga then I could see KD doing either one of the tallest Gigas to replace I305 with a launch to get to over 350 feet or just go all out and get a strato coaster. But that’s pushing it. But I think it’ll never get a hyper. Especially since unfortunately I305 killed that chance. But as mentioned earlier if they are going to get a hyper, launched Giga or anything of that size they’ll have to get rid of I305 or tear down racer or some other ride cause they are kinda restricted on land

    • @AngeloGiles
      @AngeloGiles  5 месяцев назад

      @@CarolinaCycloneJames These are some interesting thoughts lol. I do know they’re supposed to be renaming and repainting i305 really soon here. I couldn’t see them going over 300ft again for awhile, but it would be cool to have another giga..

    • @CarolinaCycloneJames
      @CarolinaCycloneJames 5 месяцев назад

      @@AngeloGiles I only see them replacing it with another giga because of how unpopular it is. Enthusiast love it yes. But unfortunately enthusiast doesn’t pay the bills it costed for them to build it. With how unpopular it is I wouldn’t be surprised if they tear it down as soon as some expensive maintenance is required. By major I mean like structural repair to supports or the cable lift needing to be replaced. KD has already sunk a lot of money into getting that thing “kinda” running smoothly. I say kinda cause they have to spray water on the wheels cause they still get too hot. Not to mention the millions in the reprofile that it needed in 2010

    Carowinds still had a decent line up before fury. But it was a minor decent lineup. Mostly being Intimidator and after burn which is considered one the more intense inverts out there. I think they are only keeping vortex because it was one of the first B&Ms. It wasn’t the first. But I believe it’s one of the first 5 so it’s still somewhat significant. Also Mack rides is actually pronounced Mach or at least that’s how everyone says it. I think they need a GCI though. Or do titan track or 208 retrack of hurler. Get rid of the trims and then do a ground up RMC.

    • @Daniel_Coasters

      Now I know how to say Mack 😂 I probably was getting it confused with the truck company Mack, there’s is actually pronounced that way, I forgot that’s how it was supposed to be pronounced lol. I imagine back before Fury and CS, the lines for After Burn were crazy. But they really are missing a big wooden coaster or hybrid for there lineup.

      @@AngeloGiles surprisingly the lines at after burn weren’t that long. Well in terms of out put. It got to about 60 minutes at the most. But it’s able to hold 3 train operations so it would churn through that 60 minute line like nothing else. The dispatches are slow the past few times I went this year and last year. But when I went in 2016 they were dispatching the next train before the train on the course hit the brake run. But that also when smart phones while still popular weren’t as important and you “had” to be on it. Also the battery life sucked in 2016 for phones so it could’ve also been that no one was on them because they wanted to save their batteries for videos and pictures at the park 😆

    Wonderland lineup is not trash, the big 3 are all good coasters that are different and Vortex is a solid 4th coaster. Wonderland is getting a launch coaster in 2025 and rumours are Intamin are working on it.
    When doing a video like this it's probably best not to look at websites to determine if a park rollercoaster lineup is good or not, especially after stating you have never been there. If you watch any videos by people that are not from Canada (ElToro Ryan, coaster studios etc) visiting the park you will see that they love it.

    • @AngeloGiles
      @AngeloGiles  5 месяцев назад

      Haha. I am glad that they’re getting another coaster there, but I can feel you on that, I used Ryan’s footage because he actually has some great off ride of a nice amount of parks. It’s harder to gauge a park when you haven’t been there like you said, I need to visit these parks myself to come up with a better opinion. I appreciate the feedback though.

    • @Cap-ku6ok
      @Cap-ku6ok 5 месяцев назад

      The thing is, Wonderland is in the same situation as Carowinds. The drop-off from the top 3 or 4 is so steep, it pulls down the entire park. Both parks would do better to simply remove their worst two and leave an open space for future development. Numbers don't help you when half in that number are horrible.

    • @PLUMMAxX
      @PLUMMAxX 5 месяцев назад

      @@Cap-ku6ok Oh I agree, the drop off after the top 4 is bad. Thankfully we are getting a very large 2025 coaster to help and hopefully the rumors are true and it's Intamin. Wonderland can also balance their park because they have the best flat rides in the Cedar Fair chain.
