This is great stuff jason. You know what would be a great help? a different camera angle that has a better view of what your left hand is doing ...may use a clip on mobile camera stand , you can attach to the headstock...they go for like 10 bucks...... great lesson by the way......
Thank you. I used to put tabs in there but I got a lot of feedback from my viewers wanting me to call out the notes instead. I guess many watch these on their phones and it's hard to read the tabs. I DO have a metal rhythm course coming out soon and that will have tabs! Plus, if you don't have this yet, I have a practice guide with tabs here: www.jasonstallworth.com/guitarist/
@@jasonstallworth just a suggestion. Don't know if it's just me but chug rhythms can be hard to follow if the slowest speed you play it at is 150 bpm. I understand not including tabs because that is more work and ofcourse that's what patreon is for but in these mini lessons it would help Really slowing it down. Like 50 bpm a few times before the mustang gallop. Thx
It's too late now but I had stopped putting tabs in my videos and many were asking for me to just call out the notes in the lesson (because the tabs were too small) - I may write a blog post for this lesson that includes the tabs though! And I'll email everyone when that comes out. Make sure you're signed up here: www.jasonstallworth.com/guitarist/

hola Jason saludos desde Bogota Colombia me encantas tus videos, ese riff esta genial me preguntaria si podria utilizarlo para una cancion de mi banda?
I would probably add a touch of delay with modulation and some type of ambient reverb. That can really bring a song to life having those effects in certain parts. And this is a great video idea, so look for this within the next couple of weeks on here!
@@jasonstallworthI love the sound but got tired of dealing with tubes lol. I'm on the hunt for a really good solid state amp...if there is such a thing...

Always love your riffs Bro, salute to you lots of lesson learned from you!🤘🤘🤘
Thank you, it's awesome to hear that 🙏 🤘
I can't wait for your guitar course!
I'm a couple of weeks behind because I've decided to add another component but it is coming soon!!!
These riffs would be right at home on a megadeth album 😎
They do have that Megadethy feel!
My wrist needs help. I know. I know. Thanks for a great lesson. Keep rock in !!#

Yeah dude I'm looking at other cameras because I really want that 2nd angle! So that's coming soon!
Ha ha. Thrash is my normal jam so I picked it up real quick. But is quite fun to play.
Yeah dude, there's something magical about thrash metal!
This reminds me of early (very early) Blind Guardian
Man, they have some cool stuff!
Do you have any videos on how to play groove metal?
I don't think I have anything for that but it's a good idea! I just need to listen to some groove metal now!
🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

Love this Riff Videos.... Maybe you can put the Tabs in all your Videos? :) greets from Germany...

Jason , it is possible to add the Tabs ?

Awesome riffs brother!! I'm gonna be working on these... Reminds me of Deicide playing some K.K. Downing inspired riffages. Badass!
Downing had some amazing riffs!!

Hi Abel, I just released a new guitar course with tabs and backing tracks here: metalmastermind.com/metal-riff-master/
Your so awesome keep doing exactly what your doing
Thank you, I don't plan on stopping 🙏🤘
If you did want to mix some feint modulation into a heavy rhythm tone how would you go about it?
I would probably add a touch of delay with modulation and some type of ambient reverb. That can really bring a song to life having those effects in certain parts. And this is a great video idea, so look for this within the next couple of weeks on here!
Frickin' awesome riffage! Love that second part in B.
That second part is tough for me play!! I screwed up so many times before nailing it! 😂
Killer riffs. Now I miss my EVH...thanks 😒
I do love my EVH!!

These riff lessons are sick Jason!! Thank u so much man!! 🔥🔥💯
Dude you're welcome! 🤘
Another awesome riff video!!!🤘
Thanks dude 🤘
Awesome lesson 🎸🤘🏻🤘🏻
Thank you🤘
Love the guitar tone!!!
Yeah that EVH amp has some great tones!
It has some strong Megadeth vibes.
Now that you mention it, it certainly does!
@@jasonstallworth I can totally hear Dave Mustaine's piercing voice singing with that riff.
Awesome video Jason. I think 155 bpm has a better grove to it.
I'm glad you pointed that out because after making this video, I also like the riffs at 155 more. Faster isn't always better!
@@jasonstallworth Wash your mouth out :)
I'm in agreement on this. It seems to have a bit more bite at 155bpm. Both awesome, but my personal preference is meaner.
@@scsreaper Yeah after listening back, it does sound better at 155!
Wow. Just awful.
Awful good and heavy and metal 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Lol...had to click the 'show more!' nice one
@@jasonstallworth I really dig how your picking hand has minimal movement while it’s sounds like a mad horse galloping to the battle. 🤘🏻🤘🏻
@@ArticLight14 I don’t have an aggressive style at all 😂 but that kinda helps me keep everything in tact, for the most part
