Congratulations to Nebraska on being the king of the “almost upset” in 2021 🌽
Unfortunately they don't get a trophy for that
Every single goddamn loss to a rank team was an almost upset
3-9
@@upbeatproductions7614 😭
You don't know how painful it is to be a fan of this team, at least Florida state has a hopeful Outlook but Nebraska..... We might be stuck in this cycle forever.
Oklahoma’s and Nebraska whole season just about could be the video
It’s crazy to think that OU and Nebraska could have had each other’s records. That was very possible last season
As a Nebraska fan, this hurts
it sure does
Same
Good
At least u guys are in my opinion one of the greatest 3-9 teams of all time lol
@@Lenny_mah_boah fr. They probably would’ve lost to Georgia by a field goal if they played in the championship game. ☠️
Before I watch already know there’s gonna be a lot of Oklahoma and Nebraska
Oklahoma in general lol 😆
Oh. You mean as seperate teams 😅 i thought you meant when they played each other
All of Nebraska's games, also they didn't add it but we lost to Iowa by 7 when we choked the hardest anyones seen someone choke a game, Iowa scored 28 in the 4th
10:52
16:54
19:42
27:51
34:26
This season hurt my soul as a husker fan
Despite their record I wouldn't really consider Nebraska beating Iowa to be an upset in the first place.
We?
Alternate title: Oklahoma almost blowing it every week
Oklahoma and Oregon both lol
Alternate Alternate title: Nebraska always throwing it every week
Or Most Overrated Teams of 2021
accurate😂 coming from an ou fan
I was thinking the same thing 😂😂😂☝🏾⭕️
As soon as I saw the video title I knew"Nebraska season in a nutshell"and that most of the highlights on this video we're going to be of Nebraska almost beating teams they had no business competing with.
Nebraska is A LOT better than their record says. Defintely the best 3-7 team I've ever seen
@@justawhiteguywitharocketla590 that's the running joke around here, we're the best three and nine team in history.
I still don't know how we were able to compete with the top five teams in the Big ten.
Oklahoma in a nutshell almost choking every week with how overrated they were
Iowa state fan here. UNI scares us every single year. I don’t know if they play up to us or if we play down but they always put up a really strong fight
The fact that at 10:02 Jalen Virgil was able to continue pulling away from multiple defenders while putting a hesi on another shows how nuts his speed is.
Nebraska being on here five times just hurts so much
fr
As an NU fan, I'm glad its an "almost upset" compilation instead of a "total blowout" compilation
What’s crazy is it should be 6, we lost to Iowa too.
In any order I like tuning in and listening to Joe Davis/Brock Huard, Gus Johnson/Joel Klatt, & Sean McDonough/Todd Blackledge commentary on the games it brings life and excitement.
I was at the Tulsa-Cincinnati game, the Bearcats were 22.5 point favorites and that homecoming crowd had the living daylights scared out of it with the Golden Hurricane having no less than 8 plays inside the 10 down by 8. Ja'Von Hicks made a heroic open field tackle stopping the Tulsa receiver short of the line to gain on 4th to stop one drive and the BlackCats defense made 4 stops inside the 1 after the Bearcats offense fumbled the ball right back after the tackle. Ive never heard a crowd like that in a near frenzy pleading for a last stop. Despite the win, that crowd had been some kind of spooked by the near disastrous loss. That would be the closest any team would get to beating the Bearcats before the playoffs.
was also at that game. incredible atmosphere after having gameday for the first time ever. we could just never put them away. the most anxious i have ever been at a sporting event because it felt like so much was on the line for our whole program. the fact our defense got 8 consecutive stops within 10 yards of the goal line is incredible
Thanks for all your hard work to get these highlights out for us plebs to enjoy the past few seasons
CONGRATS ON 100K
Its just Crazy that Nebraska almost upset every team, if they would of won all those upsets they would of been in a bowl game and high ranked
A lower tier near miss that could've been included: Colorado State nearly beating Utah State on the road. Mostly notable for how csu completely mismanaged the final few seconds, rushing a field goal attempt when they had more than enough time to spike the ball and take their time. It wouldn't have made the season better, but I'll think about how stupid that ending was until the day I die 😂
Yea that’s a good one. It’s easier to miss the group of 5 games because the teams usually aren’t ranked.
These are all my favorite college football games because I totally love college football games on Saturday and that is straight facts 💯
Nebraska being on here 5 times just shows how tough our schedule was and how close we were to almost being great
Lol Nebraska still sucks dude
It’s so hard to be a husker fan, but after this season I have a little bit of hope
It was only right that Nebraska played oklahoma for the year each one had. Imagine if Nebraska pilled off a close one against them/oklahoma blew a close one though, all rules of nature and laws of physics would have been disregarded.
It would have been funny if he put the texas kansas game on here 😂
I can’t believe that kansas almost got upset
This video could have just been all 9 of Nebraska’s losses and stopped there. God I feel so bad for them.
All we know is pain
@@thetoothedcrayon4204 I’ve always liked Nebraska but this season made me a fan funny enough. I’ll always be an LSU fan but Nebraska is definitely my favorite B1G team.
@@spencersonnier1 my dad went to school at Nebraska in the late 90’s when they were winning national championships so I’ve been a fan all my life. I hope they return to their winning ways soon.
Watching this as a nebraska fan hurts. The most somber scene I ever witnessed was the railyard (for people not familiar with Nebraska, it’s like a big square with bars and a huge screen that would play the game) after the Michigan game…still pretty sure god had it out for me. Was talking to this girl during the game after Nebraska took the lead in the 3rd quarter. She told me “if we win, we should hang out, if we lose please don’t talk to me for at a week”…well we see how that turned out
Nebraska's entire season could've been on this
Man, I still think KU got robbed of a chance to win that game. The RB forward progress had been stopped and he was being driven back. And I'm still not convinced that the QB didn't just rip the ball out of his RB's hands and if he did that is a fumble, which can't be advanced by anyone but the RB. Also looking at it again, the RB might have passed the line of scrimmage and therefore the ball can't be handed off again anyway.
Thank you for not adding nebraska vs iowa.
Crazy to see OK State nearly being upset by Missouri State and Tulsa. The same team that shocked Notre Dame
Almost got upset by Boise state too all three games I sweating bullets.
1:12 The moment Lincoln Riley knew he was leaving Oklahoma.
I already know Nebraska gonna be in like half of these 😂😂😂
I know what I was getting into as an OU fan…Almost lost to 2-10 Kansas and Tulane good god
I’m here with you bro
Yeah y'all were very overrated
@@willow9643 at the beginning of the season not at the end
@@flatcapp9183 the end of the season showed they were massively overrated all season long
@@ChiefBlue4298 absolutely not at the end everyone knew we were trash
These are some of the best college football games on Saturday and that is straight facts i totally loves these college football games and that is straight facts 💯
As a nebraska fan, this is the most painful season of football of I've ever watched. That being said, I'm already 100% drinking the kool-aid for next seasin.
Man I’m right there with you I just want this team to be balanced honestly everybody knows that if Frost can just get this team to win it’s going to take off so fast
So many Missouri Valley teams playing the big 12 tough. I’d love to see the Dakota 4 in that conference.
You know what? As an LSU fan, that Bama loss doesn’t sting as bad this time because LSU shouldn’t have even been able to stay on that field with them, but they were at that point in the season where they just said “fuck it!” and took it to them. I was actually kind of proud of that game and the fight that team showed.
Just the fact Adrian Martinez is gone will be a huge upgrade this season. GBR!
Oaklahoma, Oregon, and Notre Dame getting THIS close to blowing
These was some closed college football games and that is straight facts 💯
We were that close to beating Bama in Bryant Denny again 🙁
@Yourmomlovesmydong bro his pfp is literally LSU smh. and auburn played bama at home. Arkansas fan?
As a WVU fan I came here expecting our heartbreaking Oklahoma game to be here. For some reason I couldn’t stop watching.
I’m a massive OU fan but last year every game for us should be on this list. It was bad. Thankfully we have new leadership and direction. Things are much much brighter.
Florida st vs Clemson. Clemson RB bailed them out.
A few other games that deserve to be mentioned but were left out of the video for the sake of time:
- Miami (Ohio) vs Minnesota (31-26)
- Nicholls State vs Louisiana (27-24)
- Southeast Louisiana vs Louisiana Tech (45-42)
- Baylor vs Texas State (29-20)
- Tulsa vs #6 Ohio State (41-20, but was a 7 point game with a few minutes left)
- #10 Oklahoma vs Kansas State (37-31)
- UNLV vs #22 Fresno State (38-30)
- #16 Coastal Carolina vs Buffalo (28-25)
- USF vs #19 BYU (35-27)
- #25 San Diego State vs San Jose State (19-13)
- #19 San Diego State vs UNLV (28-20)
- Southern Miss vs UTSA (27-17)
Is navy vs Cincinnati in the video?
@@Depressednotredamefan3736 yes it’s at 25:20
what about vandy vs mizzou
@@pschighlights
K thx
nebraska vs iowa too
24:22 Right after this clip the commentators said “how many ways can Vanderbilt lose a football game?”
That bama auburn game was crazy. I heard it was 10-3 auburn with 30 seconds in the game and then heard about the rest of the game and bama wins 24-22 in 4ot lol
Every single Nebraska game.
i remember all that oklahoma hype before the season only for them to play in the alamo bowl
Why isn't Kansas vs. Texas on here? The fact Texas almost beat Kansas is ridiculous.
Nebraska and Oklahoma’s season in a nutshell
Man we just recapping Oklahoma and notre dames season aren't we?
And Nebraska's
My Huskers need their own "almost" video for 2021...
We so could have been undefeated last year but Nebraska just kicked themselves in the nuts week after week but we should be able to turn it around this year
4:12 Her voice cracked
Also where is Texas almost beating Kansas?
Damn you didn’t have to do Texas like that 😭
@@pschighlights 😂😂😂
Best comment on this vid
As a Clemson fan, we had too many close games
The Florida State almost win could have biggest win in their history
Man that Florida State Notre Dame game was excitin. Florida State should have been better with the ball, the kicker was shaky the whole game.
29:41 It broke my heart 💔 when we didn’t get it on 4th & GOAL. Neither could we get them the 2nd time.😒 I hated Jake Peetz ever since. Our defense was spectacular.
I think it broke everyone’s heart we were all rooting for you guys 😔
@@pschighlights yep. It was the perfect opportunity because an injured LSU team coulda left #2 Alabama shocked and out of the Playoffs for sure.
Mark my words. Nebraska will shock everyone and win the west this year. such a young team and with the coaching changes, the amazing portal pickups, and another year of experience for frost will work wonders. this will be a Bengals like transformation. 13-0 BABY
I would say you guys can win the west but beating Ohio state or Michigan? That seems like a stretch
Lol
i’m a texas fan i don’t wanna watch but love you
7:43 Oof. Yeah A&M avoided the upset but they lost their starter for the season in the 1st quarter and this was just the second game of the season. So kind of a Pyrrhic victory
Video idea: "losing streaks ended" games.
Example: Kentucky vs Florida 2018
Yea I definitely have to do that one soon. I did it a long time ago but it wasn’t edited well I’ll try to make an updated version this offseason.
Pretty much every game featuring Nebraska
Damn if Toledo's QB takes a knee at the one yard line, they beat ND
if GT had actually beaten Clemson, that could've been one of the craziest upsets in history, based solely on how it happened
Good job to the huskers 🌽
You could have also called this "How Nebraska Almost Won Games"
Even though I know they won't win, I still finding myself rooting and hoping haha.
Oklahoma Sate almost started the season 0-3 and they were 1/2 inch making the college football playoff
As a husker fan I can’t see what’s to come
37:21. Auburn: We stopped them! They're out of the playoff!
Bryce Young:
*Here I come to save the DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!*
Haven't watched the vid yet. Is it just every Husker game vs. a ranked opponent? lol
I’m ready to see all of Nebraskas 9 losses
nebraskas whole season in this video lmao
The fact that the Rose Bowl isn't in here is criminal
So Nebraska is 11 plays away from being undefeated all season
Yes
Alternate title: Games where it showed Lincoln Riley showed his true colors
You missed Samford-Florida. Samford led 42-28 in the FIRST HALF, and scored 52 on Florida, a record for a I-AA team against a I-A school. Florida won 70-52 with some late scores.
Sean McDonough did like ever Michigan game.
Northern Iowa and Iowa state games are close games alot.
Kansas got totally screwed against Oklahoma
Best 3-9 team of all time. Nebraska snake bit so often...
I feal like we , bama, Oklahoma and Nebraska can be in this a lot
Edit surprised we weren’t on this more
What was the play call in that Bama Florida game for the 2 point conversion? Man that looked awful
So close to 100K!!!
I know man only 100 subs away 🙏
@@pschighlights hell yeah, keep it up. Found you a few weeks ago
Is it me or has Martinez been at Nebraska for like a thousand years
I just want to say that I think that Arkansas vs Alabama next year won't be an almost upset, it will be an upset. I know thus is bold but just with how close Arkansas played Alabama on the road I would imagine an Arkansas team who will be about as good if not better at home early in the year is the perfect time for an upset like that. Also just want to say that this was a great video.
Might wanna look at that from both perspectives, it could happen anything is possible especially in CFB.. but an already young team with more experience coming into next season and the new additions. It’s almost unlikely Bama isn’t the best team in the country next year just being honest. I’m a Gump but I really like what Pittman is doing over there. Best of luck to you guys and take care of big Drew!! RTR.
@Yourmomlovesmydong 😭😭😭😭😭
You act as if Alabama didn't improve as well
Jayhawks were close to upsetting Oklahoma
An secondary alternate title could be all the times Alabama almost lost this season
Alternative title: Nebraska vs Michigans and OSU
As a Michigan fan, i am still shocked we won all those games, we should have and deserved to lose all of them
What I wouldn't give for to have Micheal Robinson under center at PSU last year every game we lost was because of an impotent offense which Robinson would have fixed with his freak athleticism after all all we needed was offense and we would have been in the playoff
This video proves how far Nebraska fell from being one of the elite teams
death
taxes
Nebraska choking a game at least once a season
I'm wondering how many Nebraska games are on this.
11:14 He dropped it before he was in the endzone.
I was at that Florida game. I still haven't gotten my hearing back
Yea I gotta admit the Swamp is a pretty intimidating stadium to play in
better be a lot of nebraska games in here
any chance you're gonna do every g5 over p5 victory
Yes gonna try to do that one soon. I’ve just been busy with school stuff lately so I haven’t been able to upload as much as I’d like to.
I swear Nebraska is going to go from almost upsetting every team to almost blowing every game.
Lose big, then you lose small, then win small, then win big
Your comment is aging well. 2023 is quickly filling up with "ugly", close wins, not losses, for a change...
As a OU fan. Being on here 5 times kinda hurts.
