"Five more minutes dear"
@GRH_Roadhouse why the duck do you feel the need to repeat your username IN YOUR COMMENT?
He's back in justice league infinite crisis om earth part 2 where he does not remember his name, until John Stewart tells his name.
I remember that movie pretty well. It hits deep that his own thoughts were against him the whole time and it was his own thoughts that were killing him.
"I remember that movie pretty well."
I mean it's been less than a year since release, so I sure hope you do lmao
@SHMOUSEY86 I seem to have missed this movie entirely, what is it?
@SHMOUSEY86 nm I found it, even had it posted at the start of the video, missed that too lol.
@@SHMOUSEY86 I should be clear that the message at the end is what was impacting not really the whole movie.
Guy got screwed over in all of his lives.
Thats depression right there, I go through that too.
Flash: *Messes with the timeline for the 1000000th time*
Spectre: I sleep
Constantine: *Brings everything back to normal and makes everyone happy*
Spectre: Real shit?
flash served his punishment tho
@@markobolo4465 how?
Answer: Speed force
John Constantine only get punished because he was the one suggesting Flash to create another flash point
@@DavidWilson-kx5bg in newest movie, flash redeem himself
@@jannydj2393 i know you commented this before infinite crisis part 3 but
its not quite what happen the reason flash doesnt get the punishment when changing the timeline because its not a fixed point in time example like barry mother when barry save his mother he broke the universe rule so his world turn into chaos eventually he stop himself from saving his mother because he knew it was a fixed point while constantion told the flash to save the universe which means killing darkseid flash cant kill darkseid but constantine spell on the flash kill darkseid which is also a fixed point he broke the universe rule and NOT FIXED it like barry hence breaking the universe into 2 creating the multiverse so in simple ways flash was a bullet while constantine is gun blaming the bullet for doing something is stupid right? so yeah there is your answer
I do like this movie’s version of the spectre. While in the comics the Spectre is more ruthless and unforgiving of anyone who commits horrible crimes. He actually tries to help Constantine because he knows John did what he did in order to save earth. The spectre is sympathetic and gives John a punishment that he would actually enjoy but John being John is too full of self hate and bitterness to think he deserves it.
Full of scotch, and bitterness, and impure thoughts.
What is the movie name of this?
I saw a screenshot of Spectre deleting Darkseid.
Yet he doesn't give him 1 Tip about House of Mysterious until it was too late for him.
Him being understanding while still delivering just Vengeance is more fitting to him, as the spectre is supposed to be the The physical manifestation of God’s wrath.
I thought that ending for John Constantine, was stupid. That version of the character was BEYOND GOOD. They should of had him be the only one who remembered the New 52 universe, but not tell anyone about it. I hope they bring him back
We don't have to wonder what happens to him. In the next DC film on Green Lantern the bum who was about to be set on fire (for talking doom and gloom) was John. So not a good ending for him.
with the new crisis movie, you are sorta right
@@bryanyap3888if I'm not mistaken he is in multiple of the new movies not just crisis
Which movies? @@Amerac133
He's back. Crisis on Infinite Earths ;)
I feel like this was a horrible way to end him. I'm surprised the specter didn't just visit him after a while and then clarify what was happening. He acknowledged constantine was saving the universe from Darkseid and didn't want to hurt him. Helping him find peace but trapped for eternity would have been a better ending. Maybe even turn him into something similar to the specter.
He's a constant one.
He, his bloodline, will always be and always has been.
Now i realized Spectre is so stupid not giving him the situasion there in. I think John would happy in prison if he knows what's the purpose of that
I think he was trying to teach John a lesson, but his own flaws prevented him from growing. Instead of confronting his demons and accepting his fate, he tried to wriggle out of it through cunning and spite. Ultimately, he uses his gifts to run away from his personal problems. If he had simply submitted to killing each time, and instead expressed himself to his "friends" (the good side of his psyche) he would have had a good life. Instead, he ran away rather than facing his troubles, which was his ultimate undoing.
Constantine is EASILY one of the most well written and complex characters in all of comics. The only thing I want more than a decent Green Lantern movie is a dark, live action JL: Dark movie with Constantine, Batman, Zatanna, Etrigan/Jason Blood, and Deadman.
Real
Very true, and I'd like Matt Ryan to come back to play the role of Constantine.
@@westower7898 100% with you on that
@@westower7898 - Matt Ryan has been playing Constantine for 9 years now, both in live action (from his own TV show that sadly only got one season in 2014, to *Arrow* season 4 and then in *Legends of Tomorrow* ) and in animation (the DCAMU, and his cameo in the show *Harley Quinn* ) .
I love Matt Ryan as John, he's a fantastic cast, but I wouldn't be mad if they gave someone else a chance at playing our favorite hellblazer..
Giving Keanu another shot was an interesting pitch (I have no idea if that project is still even a thing), same as having a different version of the character in the show *The Sandman* ...
Matt Ryan has had a great, almost decade long run as JC, but if we don't try other actors we might miss out too...
Batman and deadman have the best interactions in the Comics
I think what happened with the universe swallowing Constantine up is that he was last piece of the old timeline not erased or rewritten. So it removed him from existence entirely.
That wouldnt make sense because he asked spectre to kill him which, given his already quite dead circumstances, indicates he was ASKING for a complete erasal from existence, it also means whatever he was getting dragged into was worse.
@@felixjohnson3874 he was dragged into the heart of the universe but I have no idea what that means
@@painful_fish3083 Heart burn?
Knowing John, he'd probably find a way to escape it.
@@Raiden6277 another possibility is that he saw the beginnings of the crisis on infinite earths and got tossed into it.
Well they answered it in the infinity crisis. He is doomed to watch worlds fall for eternity, one after another.
So they made him Pariah?
@@sypherthe297th2 Essentially
@@dikastederook6380 Always thought Pariah was kind of meh and then the Dark Crisis nonsense. . . But this happening to Constantine is kind of funny.
@@sypherthe297th2 Yeah I agree
Atleast this tells us that the old DC animated universe still lives on throw one person
For once the Spectre was actually trying to protect somebody who did something wrong instead of trying to avenge. Kinda ironic that the perfect prison for him was leaving him with his own mind
Wrong ! He saved Earth. Use brain, NPCs
Actually, I think Constantine did appear in the Tomorrowverse in Beware My Power. It is possible that the homeless person that Jon Stewart saved and that person was talking about how "the world will end with a flash of light" and only Constantine remembers anything from the previous universe. Both films were released 2 months apart as well.
Actually, I always thought the guy was a character from Batman Arkham Manor, an inmate who continually insists that everyone including himself is dead, because this guy seem to rant on about the same thing
Oh shit. In the newest animated film, Crisis on Infinite Earths, there's also a homeless looking guy who Flash keeps encountering while travelling between parallel earths. I wonder if that guy is indeed Constantine.
Yea that's Constantine
you were right dude.
It's john
I think it was an idiotic ending, we need him back.
Its constantine he always comes back
@@elijahaaron6949 no that's willam afton

I know where this story is going and i am not kidding we are going to see sandman and Lucifer for sure
@@higikatatoshi6627 That's awesome, I hope so
I wish we saw more of that universe. The quality obviously went down with later movies in that universe.😢 and it was stupid of Batman to not think CyBorg couldn’t have been a double agent for Darkseid since he’s made of the same tech
*and as a Batman fan, too many solo Batman movies. And they didn’t even have a SOLO Batman movie.
well they said they were planning the reboot to occur in only a couple more years and wanted to stretch it with a couple movies but as they werent making any profit from the movies they decided reboot it sooner than expected hence the quality degradation to save more cash on animations and hopefully profit from this new reboot
I agree
His backup plan still saved everyone tho
I dont think cyborg ever told anybody how he was made
@@PolarO_O They weren’t making any money from these movies? That completely sucks, these were some of the best imo. Especially compared to what we’ve been getting recently.
I think John is the last person who is gonna lose to the universes punishment. Wherever he went he will find a magic to get out.
It would be cool to see him again if the writers are able to make it happen
How many of us are like Constantine? We hate ourselfs and think we dont deserve anything, so we isolate ourself from the people that actualy care about us. His story is realy relatable to a lot of us.
i used to not be that way, my mom's boyfriend broke me
So basically it's like if Diavolo obtained Requiem but still somehow put himself in the Infinite Death Loop.
The only thing I don't get is how the Flash goes unpunished for both times he time travels. You can say John took the fall for Barry for what he did in Apokolips War but surely Barry should've been punished for his actions in Flashpoint
Fr that shit was his fault
Ehhh my only reason for disagreeing with flash being punished is more of a pull from young justice. In that show they show that you basically are normally either on the side of tech or magic, and flash is very much on the tech side. John does even point out that it should be a warning to other mages and magic folk, so the crime in question is something of a law against those that use magic.
That said yeah this ending sucks. Even if you're going with the whole John hates himself that much and it's why the house imprisonment goes the way it does the specter fails at his job of keeping the punishment in effect. The one that was wronged is not allowed to set the terms of the punishment and the fact the specter doesn't do a thing at the end to stop this from happening is just, really bad. That and let's be honest that would be a better ending. Seeing John struggling to cope with his self hate, knowing he's stuck there proper, and ending on either his own death from his admittance that he can't be happy or forced to just treat himself better and let go of the pain and live out the punishment.
Yeah they should punish the one with the ability to do all that
The real mastermind behind it was dr manhattan. He manipulated the events and changed what happened.
Headcanon is because Flash only altered the history of Earth during the Flashpoint Paradox, which is an infinitesally grain of sand compared to the universe.
What Constantine told Barry to do was reset the entire history, he basically freed Darksied and Trigon. Yeah the Earth was fucked over, but compare to the universe it was a definite a net good. By doing another Flashpoint, Constantine basically freed both of them.
John Constantine is my favorite dc character his morality is a joke and he constantly a step a head of everyone
And the dude literally plays cards with demons
I think the universe sent him to the timeline in the new Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths series, where he was initially shown as an elderly, homeless looking man (still voiced by Matt Ryan)-that trilogy's version of Pariah-who kept warning people about the end of the world as he showed up on different Earths and still had some magical abilities but was forced to just show up to witness deaths and apocalyptic scenarios, until he was triggered into remembering who he actually was, which allowed him to tap into his full magical power and do a "clean up" spell (which also, somehow, de-aged him and made him look like the regular of the character again. The elderly version of him seemed like he had been around for a LONG time and didn’t remember who he was or seem to have any control over where he went or when.
Well well well
I'm surprised That Spectre didn't put demons in the house of mystery to Tormented John but to protect him from Universe
He was punished by the Spectre and sent to the house of mystery, which he also escaped and was forced to roam the multiverse to witness the destruction of the multiverse at the hands of the anti monitor. It’s currently unfolding in the new crisis on infinite earth movies
Wasn't it a different guy in the comics and in the flash TV series.
Zatanna definitely looked.. different here.
Thank you for gracing us with a new video needlemouse! ❤❤
Is the Universs punishing Constantine by rebooting him to be part of the Tomorrowverse? That's a question I've wanted to be answered.
John is back in the new Crisis on infinite earths part 1 movie if im not mistaken. He takes the role of the doomsday hobo that keeps warning the crime syndicate about the multiverse collapse.
At least I think it's him. At one point he tells Flash "We share the same burden" and when he uses his powers his hands shine golden.
He's become a Pariah
It is him.
I miss John.
We don't have to wonder what happens to him. In the next DC film on Green Lantern the bum who was about to be set on fire (for talking doom and gloom) was John. So not a good ending for him.
I started watching the DC Animated Movie Universe because I've wanted to see Batman and Superman get their own movies AND follow-ups because I knew we wouldn't get that for a long time. And I just finished them a couple months and I'm now all caught up in the Tomorrowverse. It's amazing how in retrospect, Warner Bros started multiple shared movie universes around the same time. The DCAMU, DCEU, Conjuring Universe and the Monsterverse. Haven't watched the last two, but I know that comparing them, the DCAMU disappointed me the least. Maybe because studio execs don't care about animation, let alone direct to video animation.
I wish it lasted 10/11 years instead of just 8 like The Infinity Saga. With more time, we could've gotten a Cyborg movie, a Nightwing movie, a Batwoman movie, a Shazam movie and a Green Lantern movie.
They actually had Shazam and Green Lantern Animated Movies but Shazam's was short and Green Lantern's wasn't that focused on Hal but the stories of the Green Lantern Corp collectively, with the ending of Emerald Knight, I believe. But, then again it was still short since it didn't have more origin stories.
DUDE I was JUST thinking about how I wanted to see more Constantine (and DC Magic stuff in general) in your channel! Please keep it up! Zatanna would be an awesome topic too!
Damn. That's really sad that all the death and tragedy was John's own doing. Its makes me hurt for him.
My personal headcanon is that the new universe after The Apokolips War is the Young Justice universe, instead of the Tomorrowverse, and that is why he isn't in Young Justice, despite all the opportunities for him to show up.
So Constantine tortured himself for centuries upon centuries, ruins his ONE good chance of a happy eternity, gets shit on by the universe and it just ends?
That's it?! Without teasing any future projects?
i like that artstyle change is explained by rebooted timeline
Could you please do a video on all the times Lex Luthor has gotten superpowers
They should make him comeback in this reboot probably by him conning even more ppl in that dimension and escaping in a solo movie would love to see it
Well if you watch beware my power there is a homeless dude that kinda looks and sounds like Constantine
@@Tobylake-jt6gu watched the movie but i guess i missed that easter egg maybe he lost his memories that would be cool
SPOILER ALERT:
He appeared in the recently released DC film "Justice League: Crisis On Infinite Earths Part 1".... after house of mystery, i think he was doomed for eternity to walk to multiple earths n force to watch their destruction. I think Constantine became tomorrowverse's version of Pariah... the character from the comics who freed the anti-monitor and was forced to watch the destruction of multiple earths.
I hope the New 52 John Constantine escapes and meets the Tomorrowverse John Constantine in a future film.
im pretty sure he is in the rebooted films? isnt he the homeless guy who keeps telling barry about the end of the world?
o=so glad your back dude
Great video
Also SPECTRE IS SO F@#$ COOL. I wish we could get more of him....and a live action horror movie.
I cans at this with pure confidence no matter what it is be it the presence of something even Greater nothing can hold John Constantine even his own worst nightmare couldn't hold him and as such he will get out no matter how many millennia it takes
Worse place then hell? Super hell?
Trigon likes this idea.
Well… crisis on infinite earths part 3 answers this question 😅
Here after Crisis on Infinite Earths Part 2.
Is it streaming already?
The fact that the universe is so mad makes absolute sense considering it doesn’t matter how beneficial it is in the long run no one would be happy at you altering them with their opinion or consent.
Like even if you cure my stage six mega cancer operating on me so deeply and without my consent would make me absolutely pissed with you like A-Train when he found out about them giving him blue hawks heart
if my stage six mega cancer was cured even without consent i'd be fairly happy tbh
I love that he came back as Pariah in Crisis
"hes not coming back, this is it"
yeah about that....
God I love these movies so much, wish they got more recognition
fr i dont like the tomorrow verse
I say they do a film where he escapes whatever prison the universe put him in. Then he goes back home and tries to catch up on everything that he missed out on.
John Constantine was becoming a hard reset for the universe just like Flash they had to find a way to limit him
That is what pissed me off the most about flash's story; as reverse flash pointed out here he basically nearly destroyed The time/space continuum all in a selfish act of saving his mom yet he only gets a slap on the wrist for that, however when constantine in a noble act of wanting to undo the damage that was done in the darkseid war and restore the heroes back to their formal heroic selves encourages flash to go back and create a second flashpoint he gets sentence off to eternity in a hellscape (Unbeknowst to him at the time) of his own making and then sent off to a far worse fate when he escapes from it, the hypocrisy is so unreal it's nauseating! 💯🔥🙄🤬😉👍🏻
Dont worry, the flash is being punished in crisis on infinite earths.
Plot twist: this entire sequence IS the hell; and he must permanently live it in loop
John Constantine survives his punishment and does appear in the Tomorrow verse, we just don't know it is him, because he is older and overwhelmed.
Only way I see him escaping the universe is the flash breaking him out lol
did you guys watch Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths, Part Three yet
the specter motives to in jail Constantine was justified
but spoilers i don't know if he survives the anti-monitor apocalypse
John imprinted a special spell on Flash's body and sent him to kill baby Darkseid without even touching the young despot, but unknowingly Constantine sentenced entire multiverse to annihilation because Darkseid existence is essential.
Thanks for explaining this. That entire movie was extremely confusing in the end.
I'm so glad he is back for the Crisis movies, it makes so much sense, too
1:53 I'm crying. Dude brought a contract saying he got dibs first. 🤣
Personally I would like to have him be in the revolted universe because that would be fun
He has now been cursed to walk worlds doomed to die, per Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths.
If the universe knew what was happening, then why didn't it try to use constantine to repair itself or make him actually pay for his crimes?
John constantine got the William afton treatment fr
Definitely deserve MUCH more time!
Someone told me after that second Flashpoint the animated universe we have now, with man of tomorrow, the Long Halloween and such, is the animated universe we have now.
I'm guessing he eventually turned into Pariah on Crisis on Infinite Earths.
Only Flash will remember the new 52 and and John
You called it
This is honestly a very sad ending to go by especially after getting the bitter ending in apocalypse war
“Fink happy foughts” ~ Needlemouse philosophy
GREAT VIDEO DC COMICS CHARACTERS
I didn't even know about this. I thought I saw all the films. Last I watched was apocalypse war
Greatest comeback story part 1 I could imagine.
To understand this movie from where do i have to start to watch from apokalips war or from another story
Easy. He went to the bar.
Imagine saving the whole universe and it's like, "You weren't supposed to do that bozo."
Honestly I want more underrated DC characters to appear in animated media, one of them is Tim Drake as Red Robin, not robin.
This might be a bit of a stretch be I think John is already in the new universe. The homeless man in the green lantern movie. He sounds like John when he’s first introduced he’s spouting crazy sounding stuff to anyone that’s not in the know of what happened to the previous universe and he’s clinging to the bottle like it’s the only thing that matters. He’s constantly trying to be in a drunk state because it’s the only thing a that numbs the pain of the knowledge he has of the previous universe and the horrors that happened to him
Are they even continuing any of these movies after this short?
This needs a update
i could see john coming back, and remembering the old universe but i wonder how he would even escape the universe’s judgement
Constantine got caught in a time loop? As shown by his own actions to start the time loop, the way to break out of the time loop would be to convince a demon or something else that can break into his prison, to break in to prevent him from escaping.
I wish they never rebooted the new 52 universe and just carried on the story with the Kingdom Come storyline, maybe even introduce batman beyond
Boy your in for a treat
So will this get updated?
There is a Rumor of a 3pt animated Crisis on Infinite Earth's Trilogy in the works, it's rumored to release later this year, and next year. I have a theory that Constantine is going to serve the role of Pariah for the Trilogy, and it does seem that's what the Tomorrowverse is setting up. In Green Lantern: Beware my Power from last year, there is a "homeless" dude being beaten up. He says very strange things, stuff like "you should all run, the world will be consumed by light, like the others." The character sounds very similar to Matt Ryan (the VA of Constantine), and the character isn't credited in the credits. I'm currently on this wild goose chase trying to see if there is any connections, but I think Constantine may show up in the upcoming animated Batman film, which may announce the trilogy. If pt1 does release this year, I personally believe December at the earliest. Just thought I would put this here, have a fantastic day everyone!
Well it wasn’t the end. He was forced to watch the crisis in those new movies
Can you do a video of Spectre and the Phantom Strange

Where can i get this and what's name plz, i have been looking
Living up to his saying, “No One Ever Gets a Happy ending.”
If im gonna guess where john got sucked into was the source wall. It's the only possible punishment that could make John react like that.
Constantine became the universes new pariah. I'd bet just about anything that he's in the upcoming crisis movies.
Where can I watch this
They brought him back as a beggar in every world that dies. He gets to watch the planets die over and over.
I like it being his end. You can’t always have the hero win, not every time, not against every foe.
I get why its said this and i should let it go, but I am a fan of Constantine's rebellious nature. I bet he could beat the universe at its own game ... somehow :P
