I watch all the videos. If you look at videos from Cody's games and compare them with what you filmed in the cage. You'll see a huge difference in his stance. In the games, his legs are spread way out, he's up on his toes, and he's got the bat wrapped around the back of his head. In the cage, he's upright, the bat is where it needs to be, and his feet are flat on the ground ready to hit. Just my observation. Love the videos. Can''t wait for the tractor work!

I completely agree baseball is extremely mental. I used to golf a lot and I would work on my swing. Most times when I backed away from it, when I returned, I would hit the ball as true as ever. My suggestion, if he doesn't come out of it directly, is to have Cody take a week off of BP, have his mind clear and let his natural athletic ability take over. He'll retain the muscle memory that y'all have been working on, but his mind will release of thinking about where his hands, feet, and swing needs to be while he's at the plate. He'll just see the ball hit the ball. The Rays old manager Joe Maddon would do this with guys that were slumping he would have them sit out BP to get him going. He even did it with the whole team, made everyone show up no earlier than an hour before game time so no one could get bp. IDK, just might be something to try.

I can tell you what Cody is doing wrong with his batting. He's not watching the ball all the way through his swing my son did the same thing. He's just guessing where the ball is.
