I can run GTA V on high settings 1080p 70 to 100 fps.But GTA IV is too much lag it drops in 20 to 30 fps.My Specs are: i7-4770k 4.0 GHz, RAM - 32 GB NVIDIA GTX 800 4GB.
GTX 800?? It's pretty weird that you would get such low fps, even with that CPU. My specs are: i5-2400 3.1 GHz 8gb RAM GTX 750 ti 4gb OC My fps fluctuates between 30-60 because of how bad this port is. While my CPU isn't exactly "up-to-date" it still gets the job done even with some new games and should definitely be able to run a 9 year old game. I'm just glad R* didn't mess up GTA V, I get 55-60 fps on high settings, unlike GTA IV.
It is a poorly optimized game but it runs surprisingly smooth on a gaming rig. getting it for my PC Specs: i7-4770k 3.50 Ghz clocked at 4.0 Ghz 16 GB DDR3 ATI RAdeon R9 270X (2GB)
+Azuura That's a pretty beefy gaming PC, though. This guy was running a pretty mid-range system at the time, and the game ran terribly, despite his hardware being more capable than the consoles.
@TheGennaios I have just got a new system but I'm still setting it up. On the old machine, the only thing I could do was reduce the texture quality, that seemed to help alot.
@TheGennaios Now tested it on the new system (phenom II X6 2.8GHz, 4GB RAM, Radeon HD 6970) and it's gone from one extreme to the other. It runs the game effortlessly and none of the fans even bother to speed up. :)
i still lag in it with a i7 2600k processor 3.40 ghz and Geforce Gtx 560 Ti ... this game is so poorly optimized its a joke and YES i can run everything else with no problems
It says my pc can run it on www.canyourunit.com but I'm not sure, these are my pc specs: Processor AMD A6-7310 APU with AMD Radeon R4 Graphics Video Card AMD Radeon(TM) R4 Graphics RAM 4.0 GB Operating System Microsoft Windows 10 (build 10586), 64-bit
I know my comment is a bit late, but APUs aren't a good option for gaming what so ever. This can be backed up from my own experiences with AMD APUs, they're slow as dirt when it comes to gaming. But, your integrated GPU is pretty decent despite the shitty CPU.
I got a10 6700k and integrated HD 8670D but i'm using gtx 745 right now but i got around 40-30fps on low settings with hd 8670D but my game isn't even starting with gtx 745 :D. At least it runs other games much better like cs:go (from 35fps ultra to 100fps ultra and i think from HD 8670D to gtx 745 isn't much of an upgrade). Also i have 12GB ram so i dont know does it make any difference in gta iv
Guess ur just lucky idk but we can both agree that the game has just been ported easily. ur AMD graphics card are properly more suited for the game i guess?. Regardless the game is crappy optimized that was the point with the comment :)
My PC can run GTA V in high setting at 60-70 fps. But GTA IV lags a lot.
It was 2008 when GTA iv was released and GTA v wasn't
GTA iv was poorly optimized for pc and GTA v wasn't
GTA v was released in 2013
Get patch 1.0.4.0.
Asmin Skenderovic 8800gt is from 2007-2008
GTA IV is very futuristic game, it was made to play 10 years later release when our pc's get ready to run it
Absolutely not lmao. The game hasn't had any updates for current gen hardware which is why fps sucks.

It's the same on XP/Vista/7. And my system is Pentium Dual Core E5400 2.7 GHz, Nvidia GTS 450, 3 GB 667 MHz DDR2 RAM and Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit.
Win7 also shows lags hope gta5 wont cause its a real deal

Ofcourse not GTA IV is a 5 year old game... same as arma II also badly optimized
