They turned Poison Ivy into a freaking dryad and she looks amazing!
An eldritch dryad to be more precise.
My guy literally said fuck it and whipped out the holy hand grenade of Antioch
"Three"
This is probably the sickest design of Poison Ivy I've ever seen.
I mean that in a good way XD
I think they really made Poison Ivy more... Unique in this.
Yeah, instead of just "woman with plant powers" they actually turned her into something that looks like an Avatar of the Green. Swamp Thing looks like he does, but she gets a pass? Nah.
@@MammalianCreature Thats not what she is though? She and Swamp Thing are two completely different cases, she is a human seductress that draws power from the green while Swamp Thing is the literal avatar of it. Its the difference between a warlock that draws its power from a fire elemental and the fire elemental itself.
At least they are not pulling punches on some of these villains. They are bad guys with evil intent. We dont always need redeeming qualities.
what if evil intent IS the redeeming quality?
That's because this is a Lovecraftian version of Gotham. Most of the characters are either monsters or victims.
It’s just this version poison ivy isn’t one of those “bad guys with evil intent”
@@stancinatti8198 Yeah exactly. If anything Poison Ivy has gotten an antihero direction lately.
@@korsekil lowkey u ask me she always has she cares about the green no poeple which I get why people say a villain but there’s more there
This movie was underrated. I loved the dark and horrifying tone of it and how no one had plot armor.
Not every superhero movie needs to have a joke every three minutes.
It’s a Lovecraftian story. The most important parts of those sorts of stories is no one is safe
@@fist-of-doom487 more like just normal story in general
@@FirstnameLastname-my7bz um no?
@@FirstnameLastname-my7bzNo.
I just that wished they lean in more on the detective and horror aspects of the genre. It didn't feel like bruce really struggled too much, figuring out what's happening. He just kinda went to different people and had them exposit to him what's going.
I like that she's an actual plant person and not just a hot lady with plant abilities.
Yeah, with vines wraping around her body 😑
@Lu-dm7rn UGH Arkham was the WORST with that. Had a friend trying to get me into the games and once I saw Ivy I was so turned off. Like, I know seduction is her thing but COME ON. They lay that on too thick they lose the point of her.
Arkham did a lot of characters really badly. People just ignore it cause they're either blinded by the atmosphere and gameplay or cause they don't wanna admit they only know the characters from the games and maybe some cartoons.
I mean in Arkham:
- Jason was whiny and legitimately someone comic red hood would shoot on the spot
- Batman is neglectful and way too emotionally cold
- Talia is not full-on-evil in the games
- Bane was stupid
- Riddler was an utter moron
- Hush had no cunning
- Tim was basically just Jason
Yet everyone acts like the games are holy

1:24 Poor Harvey Dent. She turned him into Two-Face.
Whats scary is that the transformation was slow and agonizing rather than being instant like in other media.
More like half-face-and-a-wormhole.
He is Two-Face Harvey 😔😔😔😞😞😞
Love this iteration of Ivy
Very smart making Ivy the cause of Harvey’s transformation in Two Face. I like when they twist villains’ origins
It's interesting how in the 90's Batman animated serie Harvey dent has Poison ivy who used the alias of Pamela isley as his girlfriend.
To quote Doctor strange : the multiverse is a concept that we will know very Little
Did Poison Ivy just spawn from Mr. Freeze's dead melted body? Wtf? 😂 That's a pretty interesting take though, villains directly spawning more batman villains.
Poison Ivy was the Seed, a gift from Mr. Freeze's master (another Great Old One) she just started to grow once outside of Freeze.
Couple more Poison Ivy scenes to consider:
>The New Adventures.
>The Batman.
>Brave & The Bold.
>Hush.
>Batman & Harley Quinn.
He already did hush
1:19 Imagine if Poison Ivy was in the Yamcha Defeat Pose.
I'd shit my pants with laughter
Her true form really is the stuff of nightmares.
Her monster design gives me botanical H.R. Giger vibes. 😮
Still smash 🗿
@@juanrodriguez26You would literally become a lumps of Red cyst like flesh if you do
0:54 Ok that Dryad version of this Ivy is Terrifying
0:27 She looks pretty good in that outfit.
0:15 Poison Ivy regenerating in plant form reminds me of Admiral Aramaki the user of Woods-Woods Fruit from One Piece.
This is the most terrifying we have seen her. Horror
That Poison Ivy Design looks rad as Hell.
0:46 Best Scene
I don't know why but the thought came to me that beyond the status quo of Pamela being an eco terrorist, Poison Ivy is only really a bad guy because The Green has entirely taken over her human psyche, and is directly responding to the pollution in Gotham like how the body responds to viruses; eliminating with haste but without malice. I thought of a scene where Bruce funds a series of restorative agriculture projects in Gotham and it results in some aspect of Pamela's psyche being reintegrated, enough to calm the chaos she was causing, but she still ultimately retains that eco terrorist villain status for the larger pollution that continues to go on across the planet, so she's not entirely reformed.
Poison Ivy is now like a Warhammer Fantasy dryad, she's even more lethal and terrific.
"Poison ivy I'm told" line doesn't need to go that hard.
I fucking love how they made Poison Ivy into an actual monster out of a horror story. No more hot lady doing hot things, just a literal eldritch plant god with no real emotions. Spooky and I'm all here for this shit.
Isn't being hot her literally super power?
Hey Bro Im so happy to see you back man
POISON IVY THE GOAT🐐
Very good rendition of P.I. Really like the monstrous form.
Love this version of ivy
0:06 now, mr freeze 🥶 gets face melting.
I do admit what i give The Doom That Came to Gotham and other Media using the world of HP lovecraft is showing there fans they aren't worry about going into darker stuff and knowing to remind there fans there more than monsters under the bed but ones beyond are knowing
There’s something… Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated about Poison Ivy’s monster design in this… I love it!!
i wish they would do more of these kind of horrors for heroes and villains, especially this kind of lovecraftian aesthetic
This is basically just a regular Ivy from comicbook who, you know, is knida simillar to swamp thing or floronic man beings from Earth elementals' kind.
DAMN this looks awesome
Poison ivy is my favorite childhood supervillain ever since I was a little boy
I'm glad Oliver got a whole fight scene instead of getting killed offscreen
I just love how Ivy can be a threat if she utilizes her powers more
Bro i always get mad how so much iterations of ivy is her in slutty clothes. It makes no sense she should be covered in foliage. This form is something so badass. I want more of it. Her injustice 2 looks are also great if they want something more graceful yet full of greenery.
Poison Ivy as a leshen is brilliant.
I think she always was kinda a lesbian but people keep sexualozing her and most fans are men so they had to make her bisexual so the men keep coming for her
Looks like a mix of that and a drayad, looks neat
@@youtubestudiosucks978they're not talking about lesbian lol. Leshen is a type of monster
@@steffanocornejo6129 humans are the true monsters
@@youtubestudiosucks978most of the time she wasn't lesbian too. She was very close with Harley, sometimes a bit too close (that could have indicated some kind of lesbianism) but still they were bffs. In recent interpretations has she become lesbian
Finally reaching her potential
0:44 Who is this guy with a cool mustache?
That's Green Arrow.
Oliver Queen
0:53 - I can't unsee her like a stand ))
SHES SO DAMN COOL
And along came Harley and…..
Am i the only one who noticed the name of the doctor on the door? Dr. Herbert West....the Reanimator!?
Was the first thing I noticed.
Geez, whether he’s Howard Hamlin or Harvey Dent, Patrick Fabian just can’t catch a break playing attorney characters.
Am I the only one who think of the movie "Reanimator" when I saw that name at 0:37 ?
Reanimator is based on a Lovecraft novel itself, Herbert West-Reanimaator. The whole cartoon is a tribute to Lovecraft lore
This version of poison ivy is really scary 😨
Tbh if they had poison ivy have her beauty as a farce to show a monster like design like this, i would like her character more imo.
0:46 "Even though it did not phase me I will still be vain about this and yank it out."
I love the monster form
I need to watch this movie.
Green Arrow looks like a Tenplar Knight.
She looked so cool!
0:38
HERBERT WEST?!
The. HERBERT WEST?! In a DC film?!
Dang, thats frikin bold of DC to have the Reanimator as part of this elseworld
did not even realize that was meant to be that universe's version of ivy
Oh, man.
"...a dryad from another dimension."
Very Lovecraftian in this rendering of Poison Ivy. She's more of an evil dryad in this tv movie.
😱🙀🌹
Is that friez at the beginning there
So they turned her into Wildvine
Ok she's a queen
Howard doesn’t deserve this😓
Is this alternate version of poison ivy?
Pretty much yeah
"Doctor Herbert West."
Am I the only one who thinks they made her look HIDEOUS in this movie?
are u referring to the monster plant form? cuz I don’t think “sexy” was the look they were going for
@@ellibami5677 Yes I am. But I said HIDEOUS, not sexy.
@@dinomanny41 well yeah that’s the point
@@ellibami5677 Okay. Good point. But honestly, I think they tried WAY to hard to make her scary. Usually, they don't do that with Poison Ivy.
@@dinomanny41 I get what u mean I think I just find it hard to find animated characters scary but I still like this adaptation of her for what it is
literally a spriggan from skyrim
Reported for misleading title.
Meanwhile, in a slightly different alternate reality where Harley Quinn and the Joker exist:
How? How, in the name of all that's Unholy, did my Unholy vessel fall in love with a fucking lunatic?! How tell me *HOW?!*
That movie was so weird. A fcking Ctulhu was the final boss.
Her design is so cool but the weakness is a bit eh. Like I love the design I’ll say it again but she can still be more strategic than this lol. Anyway I love this design.
Hope there is a poison ivy show along to harley show
She looks like Guiermo Del Toro's latest work
She looks like a spriggan from Skyrim
Green arrow the templar.
zombie ivy if you ask me
They really just made poison ivy a creepy tree monster huh. Not sure how I feel about that.
fitocinese🌱🌱🌿🌿
So now it's Resident Evil
I didn't know poison ivy was born from a pooh that came from a zombies mouth
Poison Ivy vs Green Arrow!
Too bad both died.
It's interesting that Green Arrow lives in Gotham and not in Star City.
Ironic that this ivy poisoned dent to 🥀🥀🥀🥀

dis too much. lol.
Death by snu snu
That’s so dumb, wrong fetish weirdass
WTH is this? Gotham in the medieval times??
Hot take: this movie kinda sucks.
This kinda ruins the idea of Poison Ivy. She's suppose to be completely sexy so men would approach her with no guard up only for her to kill them instantly. This plant creature is nothing like that
Her human form still accomplishes that.
Besides in this one they wanted to make an horror - lovecraftian eldritch approach which it totally worked.
@@ul8532there have been terrifying poison ivys without changing her appearance a lot. But I get what you saying and it works. However, I still prefer the psychological horror poison ivy. Breaks the people and still keeps her disguise.
P.S. I am going to see this movie. Let's see if they did the horror correctly for me. I don't just want it to be terrifying but scaring too
@@ΔημητρηςΑντωνιου-μ2λ well I can't tell if it's scary or not (since I like horror stuff and all), but I can say the film is very entertaining if you don't take it as a "main universe/timeline" stuff. enjoy watching it 😁
