Plot Parallels Between Reunion and True Colors

- With the second half of Amphibia season 3 returning soon, I think it's fair to theorize what is going to happen at the end of season 3. While we don't know how it will end for sure, we can at least speculate what could happen via extrapolation, especially considering that Amphibia's season 1 and season 2 finales share so similarities in terms of plot. Will the season 3 finale share similar plot elements as the previous season finales?
With these plot similarities between Reunion and True Colors in mind, which ones do you think would appear in the Season 3 finale?
So a few people have pointed out that the second pair of clips had the episode titles switched. I am now aware of that error. Just ignore it please lol. My editing can have mistakes at times.
Well since both finales ended with a different plantar being threatened to be dropped and a different friend dying or betraying, I feel like one of those might end up in the finale
I think Anne's "death"

In the beginning of the final we get a flashback of Anne during the day of her B-Day and then we get a scene where Sasha and Marcy are trying to save Anne and then she says “Hey, Sasha, Marcy. Thank you for being my friends!” As she says that with a smile on her face as she loses an arm and nearly dies

It seems like at that time.. They regret pulling Anne to their mess and feels like theu didn't deserve her.
And they all end in a near death incident
So in the fight in Reunion, Sasha was the aggressor, while in True Colors it’s Anne. She also pulls the same trick of covering the other’s head with the cape. Both episodes open with the flashback of the day they left for Amphibia, Reunion from Sasha’s perspective and True Colors Marcy’s. Reunion has Grime (Season 1’s antagonist) threaten to drop Hop Pop to his death, and True Colors has Andrias (Season 2’s) threaten to drop Sprig to his. Reunion is Sasha sacrificing herself to save Anne, and True Colors is Marcy.
So by all these accounts, I reckon Season 3’s finale we’ll see the flashback again but from Anne’s perspective as she leaves for school followed by/or the initial reaction of her parents when she doesn’t show up for her party, as well as maybe Marcy and Sasha’s parents’ reactions, a fight between Anne, Sasha, and Darcy, we’ll see The Core (Season 3’s antagonist) threaten to kill Polly (likely by dropping her), and Anne sacrificing herself to save Sasha and Marcy.
If it's really going to follow tradition then Ann will have to somehow betray Sasha and Marcy.
I think Darcy is gonna be dealt with somewhere earlier, like the episode before the finale maybe. I think King Andrias is gonna be the actual villain that all 3 will have to face in the Finale.
but lets also take into consideration of the fact that this is Amphibia. Yes, there has been a bunch of foreshadowing throughout the ENTIRE show. but I don't think they're gonna make the final, most important episode, that obvious. watch as something completely different happens. I feel like the obvious foreshadowing can only go so far before you genuinely have to be surprised by something.

My theory for Anne's ¨death¨ is that she will use up all the power she's got to save Marcy and Sasha from death, and since Sasha's words before falling are ¨Hey Anne... Maybe you're better off without me...¨ and Marcy's are ¨I-I'm sorry... for everything...¨ maybe Anne's will be something like: ¨Hey guys... Thanks for everything.¨ But since Marcy and Sasha didn't actually die, I think there's gonna be an epilogue scene where she's actually alive and decides to stay in Amphibia.
Sasha and Marcy are great characters and the story of how they got into amphibia because Sasha's parents were divorced and Marcy and her parents were moving away really shows everything and I hope the series finale will bring a ending for Sasha and Marcy to be happy and to see Sasha and Marcy's parents would be great as well!
I actually would like their parents to meet the friends they made in Amphibia, like Anne's parents met the Plantars. In fact, before the series finale, I would like to see Sasha and Marcy return to Earth as well as a couple episodes dedicated to them readjusting to their old lives with their new friends.

I dont know why but it would be super interesting if marcy died in season 3 or season 4 if there is one, i know i might sound creepy but it would gain so much attencion and it would be so impacting

Marcy didn’t deserve it. She read about the box but had no way of knowing it wasn’t a fairytale. She couldn’t have expected her plan to work
Could just be me but I understand Anne’s emotions and can sympathise with them even tho Marcy had no bad intentions and probably didn’t think it would work. What pisses me off is Sashas reaction to it. She tried to genocide an entire town including children and newborns, at this point in the story she has no right to be disgusted at any one and it’s even implied that she likes it a little in Amphibia
But she still expects them to stay even after she's close to going home

I think Anne lost more that what we thought.
A code in the book in A Day at the Aquarium says:
"Three stars burning bright
Come from beyond to expel the night

In both finales, there were multiple fights (Anne vs Sasha, Wartwood vs Grime, the heroes vs Andrias)
In both finales, one of Anne's best friends (Sasha and Sprig) quite literally "embraced the fall" - i.e. let themself fall to their death, only to be caught.
(And in both finales, the evil tyrant still threatened to kill a Plantar even after Anne did the thing that he had said would prevent him from doing it - i.e. winning the battle against Sasha, and putting the calamity box back where it was)

She used bad methods (manipulation,mind games) for good intentions (she knew king is a tyrant, and she wanted her friends to be safe, she thought the only way everything would be okay if she takes over control, but she later brushed that idea). You can kill only if your life is in danger, did Sasha even try to kill Anne in true colors episode? No, she defended herself, but Anne did try to kill her. That's not an excuse to kill somebody.
Another parallel between Reunion and True Colors is they both inflicted mental and emotional pain on us all.
I just noticed how everything is well planned out, when Marcy first sees the box you can hear notes playing on a piano, similar to the one Anne recalls in "escape to amphibia"

I had never properly internalized that Sasha apparently just sends Marcy pictures of cool bugs. That's honestly adorable.

Maybe S3 ending will be different because its the last season of the show. I really hope that nothing THAT bad happens to Anne. I think Polly will be threatened to be dropped to their death. Right now, I just want to know if something bad will happen to Anne's calamity powers, like if she uses it too much or for too long something bad will happen... like the power in her taking over and she won't be able to control it. I'm really sad that this show is coming to an end... I love this show, its my favorite show for sure. I am not ready for Sasha and Anne to meet Darcy, nor am I ready for Anne to say goodbye to the Plantars ;-; Amphibia is amazing with its plot twists, angst, wholesomeness, lore, and the plot itself is amazing. I will always love this show.

We know that each plantar is getting threatned to get dropped by their death, meaning Polly is next. BUT, do you notice who drops each of them? Grime and Andrias. Both characters are basically "found family' or fathers towards Sasha and Marcy. So who is a found family fathet figure towards Anne? Hop Pop. So will Hop Pop threaten to drop Polly?
Or are they gonna go the brainwashed route, and have Polly get threatened to drop by Anne’s actual father… questions questions

The three season finales will focus on each girls. Reunion with Sasha, True colors with Marcy and Hardest Thing with Anne.
The beginning parts of each episodes are pieces of flashback, moments before they were transported.
True colors : Marcy finds the music box, texts Sasha that she has the perfect birthday gift for Anne.
Reunion : Sasha receives the message, rushes with Anne to get the box.
Hardest Thing : Anne goes to the thrift shop, steals the box, and opens it.
(We might even see what happened when Anne got transported, hours before the events of Anne or Beast)
I predict no one is actually gonna die in season 3! Yeah "third times a charm", but this proves that no one will actually *fall down* to *flames!* Get it? 😂 Maybe someone will die or sacrifice theirself like Hop Pop but I believe somehow he will get resurrected!

I keep getting this gut feeling like Marcy is practically already dead, and removing the core from her can't bring her back either. It might be a situation where we only briefly see the three reunite after forgiving each other, only for Marcy to fade away in some magic display, (because I doubt they'd just have her go limp in the arms of her friends in a kids show.) Disney doesn't seem too afraid to actually kill someone before the end of this amazing show, and I get the feeling if any of the three would wind up dead by the end of this, Marcy would be the one.

While I don't have any theories of what will happen, I have some ideas of what I think won't happen.
1. I don't think we'll see a flashback of the day the girls were sent to Amphibia, or at least very little of it as we already got Sasha's perspective, and Marcy's perspective, we have seen the moment where Anne steals the box, but she was with Sasha before that, so if we just put pieces together we already know everything. It is likely we will get another flashback of earth though.
2. Anne fighting with Sasha isn't likely as it seems they've made up already. However it's likely Anne will end up fighting Darcy/The core and possibly with Sasha or Sprig. Anne and Andrias might have a rematch but I'm not entirely sure.
3. There are no plans that we know of right now (mostly because there aren't any new villains besides Darcy) that could be revealed unless there's some sort of plot twist.
Though I think at least one person is getting dropped and it's likely we'll get Anne or someone else "dying" in my opinion.
I have a theory that the final episode is going to have all the shared similarities between Reunion and True Colors happen one more time. People say that twice is a coincidence, three times it's a pattern

Also, Grimes uses his tongue move in both episodes, even using a similar quote the second time: "Pretty cool huh?" and "Pretty hot right?"
3:38 this ended up happening again in a way. Anne revealed her secret plan of using all 3 stones to kill the Core, which caused a lot of shock.
If Sasha almost dies and gets saved Marcy dies and comes back so does that mean Anne would “die” but get saved means something doesn’t it 😟
I feel like Sasha's "death" at the end of Season 1 was (in my opinion) a little better than Marcy's death. Now Marcy's death to me was sad, but Sasha's hit different. The music combined with that end line "Maybe you're better off without me" really sinks in as the screen turns red for a bloody good second and then shows Sasha falling. But Marcy's death though was sadder seeing her getting impaled.
We seen Marcy and Sasha’s flaws as friends but what about Anne’s flaws in this friendship?
And 2 years later and now a response:
Anne's hardly have a flaw well until season 3b she kinda has the lack of teamwork and math most times(episode 1)
She lets her friends push her into anything they want, she has little to no will power of her own
That second to last one seems to suggest that Darcy will threaten to yeet Polly off of a tall place.
I'm always reminded of how dark these shows get

Something I noticed both Sash and Anne had learned from their first fight, Sasha remembered how Anne disarmed her last time and did a similar trick to Anne, while Anne remembered how Sasha used her cape and so Anne used Sasha own cape against her.

While I was kinda sad the Planters were just kinda tag alongs near the end of season 3 I extremely loved how Sasha and Marcy were being developed more and it made the ending infinitely more better

Guys I’ve been having this theory ever since true colours came out: If Sasha almost died in reunion and Marcy almost died in true colours. Does that mean Anne will almost die or just die?

In my opinion, I think we’ll get a flashback of Anne on the day of her B-day and then as Anne is trying to escape (also on Earth getting that gang together) we get footage of Sasha and Marcy trying to save her and reconcile. Then with the Calamity powers being activated with Anne fighting Andrias (she loses her arm), Sasha fighting Darcy (she loses an eye), and Marcy in the mind with Aldrich (Andrias’ father), she comes out to help fight and loses her “heart” - idk. Since all the Planters have been threatened except Polly, I think Polly will be threatened to die by Darcy as a last resort. Then possibly have some sacrifices of HP (saving Anne/fighting the herons), Grime (saving Sasha/fighting Darcy), and Andrias (saving Marcy/fighting Darcy). The girls decide to end their friendship “temporarily” (focusing on themselves/reflecting) and we get a flash-forward of them as friends again/taking things one step at a time. We then get insight on each characters lives (where they are now)!
I did NOT realize how many things these seasons have in common, cool!
something that ive seen nobody notice is that whenever the box shows up in the flashbacks (may be more instances, i cba to check), the co-ordinate tune for amphibia's dimension plays in the background

Note:I see that Sasha threw her cape on Anne’s head,Causing Sasha to knock Anne off her feet in season 1’s finale,in the second seasons finale,Anne turned Sasha’s cape onto her head, Causing the same type of reaction.

Know I think about it in the flash back they all wear something tied to their calamity stone colors Marcy’s green hair pin,Sasha’s pinkish purple shudder glasses,and Anne’s blue star shaped glasses
Interesting to note is that Sasha really didn't betray Anne in season 1, she genuinely believed that Anne would be completely on her side in the fight between Frogs vs Toads when she told her of the Toads' plans, just like how Anne thought Sasha would be on her side with the frogs. It was less of a betrayal and more of a conflict of interest as two people supporting different opposing groups.
Sure Anne made the mistake of trusting Sasha with the whole banquet and letting the frogs go with toads, but Sasha trusted Anne too, shown as she told Anne the entire plan, and we know Sasha's not so stupid so as to give vital information to one she considers an enemy.
Essentially, their biggest mistake was thinking the other was seperate from the groups they were with.
Well for season 3 we only have one girl left who didn't kinda die in the end? Uhm? Huh

sooo the funniest thing happened-
Idk but for the season finale I just didn't react to s2 in a way I expected. Like yes, it completely shocked me and left me heart broken. But for s1 I SOBBED. Maybe it was because I'm a sucker for emotional scenes paired with an emotional song. The s1 finale still leaves me on the brink of tears now.
