Wow! What a great film! So touching and so meaningful. It's truly the first of a kind. Sluate to Lillian Gish, Sluate to Richard Barthelmess, Sluate to D. W. Griffith and Sluate to Mr/Miss firstofakind. Thanks so much for sharing. Hope you can post Lilian Gish's "White Sister" in future.
Having just this evening finished "The Movies, Mr. Griffith and Me," and viewing this for the very first time, all I can say is...INCREDIBLE! And thank you, firstofakind. A strange side note: the copy of Miss Gish's book in my possession was once in the library of Estelle Getty.
You should watch one movie called "His Double Life”; it’s the only movie available online that lets you actually hear ‘Lillian’s’ voice back when she was still young.
I love this! I'm a huge fan of Broken Blossoms, so seeing Lillian and Richard's characters marry here almost feels like a kind of happy ending for Broken Blossoms too, in a way. Ah, if only!
What a touching, sweet movie...I love the sweet femininity of Lillian. Many women nowadays are unfortunately greatly lacking in femininity of this kind, and likewise men with chivalry.
Great film! Lillian gish never dissapoints. Now I need to see broken blossoms
The first 15 seconds of this clip is one of the sweetest moments in film history in my opinion :)
great movie and Gish looks so sweet
This movie was WONDERFUL!!!!

The ending was both sweet and hilarious!

I always have difficulty with Griffin in terms of themes and ideals but he was a great filmmaker
...and the in the last frame she is kissing his mother on the mouth in stead of kissing him? Great.
Sweet ending but Sanderson just gets to walk away? Wish we had seen his character get sent to jail or something.
