I love the house and the interior design, but I can't help feeling sorry for the neighbors who are now so horribly overlooked. Their garden is now a part of the Skinny House's planned outlook. HUGE windows looking directly into the neighbor's garden. Yikes. How did they get that approved?
A thoughtless solution to a spare driveway in a high value postcode. Overlooking neighbours, out of character building materials. Walking directly into a living room in a country where it rains most if the year is crazy. The experts had to focus on the ornaments to find a positive, it's so bad.
I would have gardened up that driveway, I agree on that. But I'm sure the neighbouring garden already was (and still is) overlooked from other houses. Also, having lived in an even rainier country than Scotland... taking off your coat and shoes is a thing.
This the kind of modern I like. So much warmth and light.
