Aww... Kaito's songs are always so special, they portray so much feeling, no matter how many vocaloids may come and go , there will be NO ONE who can sing like him. he's got such a beautiful and warm voice, whoever listens to his songs, gets such a cozy and fuzzy feeling. HIs songs could seriously provide comfort to even the saddest human being on earth :) I don't think that even we humans can match up to his singing!
You’re right. He just ends up with all the most feeling and empathetic songs. He has no canon personality but it looks like we’ve all collectively decided that he’s a goofball here to cheer us on and keep us going. Except he understands how it feels to be sad, and doesn’t want to force us to be happy. He wants to be there for us.

Kaito V1 is really the best in singing the high notes.

KAITO just has this magical voice like no other Vocaloid, it's amazing... He may be a commercial failure but we don't care. That's why KAITO is my favorite too.
He's not a commercial failure. he was just considered one at the start, but then he sell well enough to not have that title anymore.
This is the first version of this song I heard. No other version can compare to it. Kaito is just a ball of love and ice cream! I love him so much!

I flipling cry when I listen to Last Night Good Night, whether its the duets I have or Hatsune Mikou, KAITO or even Miku herself. This song always seems to get the tears to flow like a river..
This is one of those songs you can't just sit there and go " oh, its a program developed by Crypton and Yamaha." There is too much emotion in there even if it does sound artificial, you can not deny the feelings that flow when you listen to this song.

I don't know but all vocaloids are awesome and they all deserve popularity. Take Meiko, for example, everyone hates on her but I love her! Even some of new vocaloids get love but just not Meiko and Kaito. But I don't care. I love them all :)

I wouldn't say annoying for Miku.
Miku's voice is sort of bouncy and cutesy so it fits songs that are supposed to sound, well, bouncy and cute. She can do slow, deep, epic songs, but they tend to retain her sharp tone which can kill the mood a bit.
Kaito's voice, at least to me, sounds like it has a slow, deep drawl that makes it perfect for this kind of song.
So it's not that one is annoying (unless you just can't stand bouncy), but that each has a voice for a particular category of song.
Whenever I am angry or sad I come here to this song and listen to it. Calms me down every time.

I've never cried so much from a song. I'm only learning Japanese and I have no idea what Kaito is saying. But there is some comfort in not knowing the words, letting them flow into your mind and lull you to another place... This song is fantastic. It's so sad yet... Beautiful. This is one of those few where its hard to tell that its a computer singing...this is amazing, I haven't really liked Kaito's voice...or rather what people did with it, but here he really got to shine, it really showcased how good he can sound with the right user,

Agreed with the other comments. Kaito's voice is very well suited to this kind of song. The only thing is that his voice it too loud in the lower parts of the song... I've heard extremely tender renditions of Kaito's voice, so I feel like it's a waste... Though the high parts are beautiful, I can't deny that. I get shivers at the chorus...

We then share ice cream that I brought along and we race on shooting stars again, and when the song ends, he takes me to bed, kisses me goodnight and leaves...with all my ice cream. Don't worry about him stealing my ice cream. I'll buy more :) I just want an english sub of him singing solo.
