Attractiveness was just one of the traits looked for when contestants were selected, but the easiest way to be selected was to be a good-looking young woman. Our preacher's daughter was on vacation with friends in California many years ago . A very beautiful college age girl who went with her friends to see the price is right. Not surprisingly, she was picked. Contestants are not chosen randomly .

Bob Barker passed away at 99 on August 26, 2023, and the original 1986 broadcast of "The Price Is Right" as on Halloween Day from then CBS Louisville, Kentucky affiliate WHAS 11 (now ABC affiliated) has 6 pricing games Bump, Temptation, Grand Game, Safe Crackers, Switcheroo, and Range Game played, as well as a Showcase Showdown Play Along in Showcase Showdown #1, and the Fabulous Showcases which were coming up on Halloween Day in the Showcase round. And Bob Barker had dark hair before he decided to go grey a few years later, and after the full credit roll there is no "CBS Newsbreak" as "This is CBS" is announced and shown with the CBS Telop slide on screen. RIP Bob Barker and Rod Roddy.
