- While there's a big debate whether the CH-R is a very stylish vehicle or a massively over designed one, understandably we all have our own preference. The CH-R is an inch bigger in almost in every dimension than its competitor Vezel/HRV but falls behind interns of packaging hence we see the car compromising onboard space. CH-R is also comes short on power and driving pleasure which we discuss in the video.

Thanks for a great review, That's a p610 transaxle of Toyota HSD II, shared by Prius and Corolla hybrid, Corolla cross hybrid. Engine has only 96ish HP, torque of the engine is irrelevant, because that's what the motor is for(163nm), in city driving you never get the full power because battery cannot be 75% charged. So you get the full torque at low and midrange because you don't have to overcome the drag of air where you need power. But at 80km/h or more you need to overcome drag and need total power along with torque. In city as I said it's not possible. That's how Toyota HSD II does things. In the highway driving usually battery remain at 75% or more charged all the time and you have overtaking power( that's more than the official combined power) for a minute or two, then wait for another minute to get that total power again. Toyota hybrids do not have the power delivery curve of an engine, but it's superior to engine only cars. I drive fielder hybrid wxb 2015 with p510 transaxle. Principle is same. I drove a lot of highway driving from dhaka to cox'sbazar, kuakata, bandarban etc and came to this conclusion.

Prius has better top end than chr, the engine was designed for a lift-back. You can't really expect it to as good in a cross-over or mpv.

@@ReTDrive C-hr has enough power. Where will you use extra engine power in Dhaka city? The power that Chr has can't even utilize in Dhaka.
I can sleep on the accelerator and never realise that, we have driven vehicle upto 420hp on this channel in dhaka bd , if you how to manage power you can obviously manage. This is nothing close to good power.
