Perfect for this Rookie. You are 100% right about the confusion of the time/note icon!!!!! I was so inept I exported my mix down to another app to change the speed!!!! Not any more :-)
Wow that is the best explaining I’ve seen so far on this topic! Extremely useful and thank you so much. I would love to see a video of your creation showing and explaining how handle an audio sample that you want make match the tempo of your project - preferably not just the usual easy sample of a simple drum loop but a bit more complicated like another song. Detect tempo I think does weird stuff like changing the beat to 1:1 - drives me nuts.
Thanks for the video…good explanation. I did notice that the vocals track did not change, which is the issue I have. The audio tracks change tempo, but the vox track does not. Any ideas on how to fix that?
So my problem is, I have improted an audio file into my empty project and I am trying to move it onto the grid. I needed to change the project's bpm by 1 or two to get it to sync properly however it keeps changing the audio files bpm along with it.... I must admit I am an every day in protools kind of guy, I do love your page and cubase however hehe. Thanks!
4:55 this stuff gets really really tricky when you have recorded a demo without clicktrack and then warp the tempotrack. It will do a lot of bouncing when you set definition from tempo. It will then add a bunch of warp markers that can be in the way when you need to edit / time correct, so I would bounce the tracks where I need to do time correction to have a clean event. by default, all my tracks are in time mode and not musical mode, I wonder whether I should change this????
Can you synch two different tempos together. I don’t mean speed up the tempos. Can you go in and manually move the snare of one song so it falls on beat with the next song. Is this possible in Cubase Artist

Musical mode keeps making my audio super super sloooowed down. Does anyone know what is going on?!?!?!?! Ive been at this for a couple hours and I'm losing my mind.
Hey MrRickPanick, you can add a tempo track and add tempo changes at the bar you would like it to change or even make is slow down progressively if you want.
This is the most confusing & quite frankly absurd way of editing wave files without me even having done anything. I am working with sound/mics and would never ever want to change the tempo. Yet this is what? Default? Is there no way to tell musical mode (which isn't even on that bar in cubase 12) to go screw itself forever? lol Seriously, this so stupid. It edits the file even though its from a source that has no tempo? Dumb program man.
Hi FROM ITALY, a specific question...: I have an audio (or even midi) project at 66 bpm I have to insert a guitar solo that starts at 66 bpm for 4 measures and then doubles to 132 bm for another 4. I inserted the tempo track highlighting only those 8 measures are fine except that after the general tracks they are staggered...! What's wrong?! Thank you
Finally, someone who describes this info to where I can use it. Problem solved. Thank you
Thank you a million times.Have spent hours trying to solve this problem.Juat two clicks and I am ok.
God bless you .Keep it up sir

I can't get my tempo to slow to my liking on cubase 11 element
Thats all folks.
How do you CHANGE TEMPOS in the MIDDLE of a song? I want to start in one tempo then CHANGE the tempo @ a certain point in the song

Great info, but that ad was freakingly long and annoying.
