Acapella means that ANY instrument but the voice is cut out so that one can appreciate the singing of a certain singer or, in my case for instance, to practice chords and music with a "backing" melody. The ones you talk about are made to reproduce a song just using voices, while this kind of acappella is basically the vocal line in a song taken out of the context, like if you listen to a song on the radio and you take away all the instruments but the voice. This is not made to be enjoyed as a song, but to listen to the vocals closely.
