Let's admit we all knew this was going to be outstanding before listening to it. I love the way how deeply she researched on the Punjabi language to translate every little details into English and the punjabi touch between the verses literally touch the heart. its funny how in english the depth and complexity of the lyrics is greatly reduced, great work emma, loved your cover and the urdu is commendable!
Yeah English just can't do poetic justice to the lyrics. English speakers can't really ever get the full effect and the tremendous beauty that is Urdu poetry. The language just lends itself to poetry so nicely. But she did very well and obviously she is a good singer. If I had not watched her singing and only heard the Punjabi and Urdu verses from her, I might have a hard time saying that this was a white European girl singing.
