Something that always amazes me about Kompany is the amount of details he puts in the layer work in his drops(mainly the layering of basses). And he's doing this while maintaining a clean stereo field and separation between layers.

I’ve studied his techniques in order to improve my own productions and two tools he uses I coincidentally do as well…alas with far less success…is Phaseplant for sound design and VISION4X as an audio visualizer. This visual representation breaks down the sound parameters in ways that allow the artist to REALLY see their sound.
KOMPANY is one of the goats with sound design in my opinion. He’s such a cool dude too.

He worked for cymatics creating sample packs for awhile and would just make sounds for hours on end everyday along with producing his own music. Man has put in thousands of hours
