hmmm, I don't think the second phase of the boss fight is her delusion form, it's her form without holding back her powers from her curse. She's clearly not an ordinary human nor do her powers come from a delusion, but instead it's her raw power. (what it is and its origins, yet to be told)
If you think about it, the Traveler has actually lost quite a bit, and has required an abundance of aid in previous boss battles. Let's see...though we defeated Childe, we definitely needed the help of the Adepti and the Qixing to take on Osial. For Azhdaha, we had Zhongli. When we first fought Ei, we lost and only Thoma saved our ass. The second time, we were only able to beat her with the power afforded by all of the people's hopes and dreams. We didn't fight the Raiden Shogun ourselves, Ei did. We lost to Scaramouche 168 times, and it took all of those failures plus Sumeru as a supercomputer to defeat him. Neuvillette lent us his power to defeat the whale and he was the one who would've properly finished it if Skirk hadn't arrived. tl;dr Traveler is not nearly strong enough to take this kind of fight on alone and help from a few Vision wielders is not going to make a difference. The Nation of War seems like it's going to be a training arc.
Yes, what you say is true. The Traveler may not be strong enough to defeat the 4th of the Fatui Harbingers, Arlecchino. However, she is stronger than La Signora, the 8th of the Fatui Harbingers. It is true that we first defeated Tartaglia, the 11th Fatui Harbinger, in Liyue. But now he is even stronger than before. He was able to defeat many Ruin Guards in seconds. Neuvillette intervened to stop him before his transformation because he knew no one in that court could halt him. Additionally, Childe was engaged in a prolonged battle with that Whale. He is progressing rapidly and may be one step ahead of the Traveler. Who knows, the Traveler might still become more powerful with additional Pyro and Cryo elements, reclaiming their original sword for a significant power boost. As for Tartaglia, we may witness his mastery of Foul Legacy Transformation.
@@2kcreations721I also noticed that the Traveler is incredibly shook from the jump. They probably forgot to use elements because they were instinctively falling back on their typical skillset from before Teyvat.

The way she glitches out and her boss form resembles a spider You cant tell me thats not a refrence from the spider verse where spider people start glitching if they enter a wrong world
