I have same air handler and even uv system but mine doesn’t have power supply like yours
How did you go about installing yours? I have the same issue
I spliced a wire in the attic and added my own outlet
Mine didn’t come with the rubber seal unfortunately, same exact as yours.
That was something I purchased seperatly.
@@brianmccoppin would you happen to have a link?
I think it was this and I cut it down to size. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BCMKNW4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1@@connor718
After taping around it, can you still remove it to replace a bulb?
Yes, but with fresh tape. Cut out the base and tape over.
I have read the UV light can damage wire coating if installed in the coil area
Just need to cover any wires with UV rated tape.
Lights should be shining on the return side of the coil.
The UV light is for the coils, not the air flow!!! It is for kill the bac on the coils!
Nice install. I had one installed and they installed it in the return plentum on the insulation similar to how you did yours. Question were you nervous installing on insulation?
No, pretty simple cut and the tape sealed well. Super easy.
I got a new HVAC guy who is asking $900 to do this. Am I an idiot to try to install this myself???
No. It makes you smart. You see how easy it is.
I wonder if this UV lights could generate ozone gas and make any damage for the health.?
they say that they dont create any ozone
Do UV light's really kill bacteria, mold and mildew? Thanks
Yes only the area where the light is located
That's the supply !!! Not the return
