- The major crops in India can be divided into three categories Rabi, Kharif and Zaid crops. We'll also learn different cropping season and many other features of crops India crops. This topic is part of Indian agriculture which falls under Geography subject.

Sir u said rabi crops are predominantly snown in North and western india such as Punjab, haryana etc and receives rainfall from North East monsoon but sir North East monsoon doesn't give rainfall in North or western india
North East monsoon give rainfall in northern part of India as well... Generally it is predominant in eastern part but it also contribute to rainfall in northern part as well .
Because of western disturbance, this region get rainfall

There’s hardly a household which doesn’t consume ragi often, if not every day. Ragi was made famous when Deve Gowda became the prime minister for ten months. Even the five star hotels in Delhi served Ragi mudde, or ball of ragi about the size of mango.

Etymology of Kharif is Autumn and Zaid means more or extra, Zada, done with artificial irrigation.
