At the 15:30 mark, I was like, “oh dear god no!” I like your videos because there’s no conversation, narration or music. Just pure experience. Unique on RUclips.
This channel is my new favorite and I'm subbed to 172 of them! I am moving to the NE in September(Maine) and I couldn't be more excited. Your channel, esp your Autumn and Winter walks, are absolutely amazing! But, really, I've enjoyed all of them. Keep up the great work. The visuals are stunning but your mic is fantastic!! What an experience!
No music, no inane commentary, nothing to distract or detract from the natural wonder of the great mountain. Superb video. I’ve been up there many times and I’ve never seen so few hikers. Virtually the entire knifes edge to yourself. And in great weather no less. Kudos!
I love your videos. You take us along to all the best places. You made good time on knife’s edge. I’ll bet you appreciated walking on a smooth surface again after over an hour on rubble.
Most people I’ve met who have done knife edge only did it once. It’s the weather that needs to be watched. You can start with a sunny day and get to the end and it starts raining
I do not like watching this! But I have watched 13 minutes so far, off and on for a few minutes at a time. I gave it a thumbs up. If I get all the way through, I might be able to watch it again sometime. I may have to just stick with your more flat-land walks.
Yo lol you did it on my anniversary brother!! We were still living in New Jersey but we went on vacation first two weeks of July we left the kids with my sister in law and stayed in Millinocket the 4th. We drove to Baxter early morning filming moose first left the vhs camcorder in the car and hiked up where you were
I keep thinking about this video…you’re walking this mountain as if it’s just another day at the office. If I climbed this peak, esp the knife edge, I could die happy. I want to do it but am terrified. My husband and I have looked into it, tho. I think ascending is one thing but going back down would probably be even more difficult.
Absolutely stunning views! and I have a request can you please make a fall foliage video in Maine during this autumn i am soon gonna shift in America so I am looking for a place where I can found the ocean and also beautiful fall foliage lots of love ❤❤
Absolutely! I’m thinking about doing a full New England autumn video where it features Maine! Camden Maine is a great place with ocean harbors & foliage, as well as Acadia National Park!
Hi! Fellow New Englander here (Vermont)! Your channel is incredible..if I can ask, how are you filming this?? The quality of the footage looks well-beyond a GoPro but you're hands-free. Maybe I'm just not doing the GoPro justice haha
@@stephsponytail I highly recommend @abekislevitz “Gopro Hero 10: Best Video Settings Guide”. He’s goes into detail on best setting for different scenarios!
Baxter State Park is located just outside of Millinocket Maine! There is a limited amount of people they let into the park each day & the trail head is accessible via a single road that is a 25-30 minute drive from the entrance.
This here isn’t too bad really if you’re walking in single file. It’s when you have to pass someone or they pass you. I climbed up in 92 or 93 from down near chimney pond. We came up the large boulder field. But I found knife edge more difficult but enjoyable too
I can't imagine how you managed to find foot spaces in all those rocks!!! And talk about a knife-edge!! Terrifying!!!!! Are the rocks what are left from ancient glaciers, or thrown up there by ancient volcanoes?
There are no individual 2,000 foot killer drops, but there are about 10 million leg-breaking falls you have to negotiate correctly. Because go ahead and imagine laying out in the open with broken bones waiting for the rescue crew to hike all the way up with a stretcher, and then all the way down to the bottom as the passenger. Helicopter-schmelicopter... It's all got to be done on foot.
lol have you ever heard of the term’Where in the Blue Blazes are you?’ Well the Appalachian Trail is where it originated. Really I don’t know but it sounded logical
I did it in 2014 with a group of 10 and it was an experience. We met a 60 year old woman at the summit. The cool thing about reaching a summit is you know you get to witness things that other people will never see
Feels like I am in VR game. Good video!!
My heart stopped for a split second and 13:17. That was an intense and awesome video! Congratulations!

Hahaha the hike was not as scary as the video makes it seem. Thank you!!
That got me too!!!!
I'm so blown away by how this video only has 6.2k views. this is incredibly breathtaking and definitely one of my favorite videos of yours.
Thank you!! I’d love to do more hiking videos 🤞🏼

Спасибо за прогулку. Я восхищена!!!👏👏👏
This video is absolutely breathtaking 😮🙌👏👏👏
Thank you!
I can't believe that Andrea, my 15 year old daughter did this. Amazing.
Did this trail when I was 12 years old in 1976. Still remember the fear.
Love Katahdin can't wait to go again this summer

I'll have to put this trail on list the if I ever visit Maine.

Insane!! Any special settings you're using? 😂 I have the GoPro Hero 11, but can't seem to get it near this quality.

This park looks extremely remote. How do you even access it, and from where?
