I like how you displayed each design individually on your top racks. It's a very nice presentation ❤

@kynyoubelieveit If you should decide to build another fixture, here's a little something that should help:
•For drilling on metal- use a center punch or a hammer and nail to mark your drill point. This will help keep your drill bit centered and from going all over the place. Also, start with a smaller bit and pre-drill. Work your way up.
•For your dowels- tape them flat like you did, but wrap the tape all the way around the dowels while you have them lined up. (Tape both ends) When you are done drilling through one side, spin your other side towards you and drill your holes. Having them taped together flat like this will make it easier as you wouldn't need to realign the holes, and everything will be in the right position.
I hope you find this helpful. Have a blessed day!

As always your market display pieces are an inspiration! A few questions for you: 1. How much clothing d these racks hold? 2. How are your pegboard easels holding up in terms of durability? My pegboards keep chipping any tips for that? 3. Do your bottoms on your sticker ledges ever fall out? 4. What do you use to attach your signs to the rack and to the pegboard without damaging it?

      Thanks so much!
It depends on how you use it! Max you can fit 12 designs with 8-10 of each design. The layout video that's coming up will show more!
I've never had chipping on my pegboard, and haven't had the ledges fall out, but if your pegboard goes through a lot of temperature changes (i.e. heat), that will cause warping an may result in ledges not sitting flush - the pegs are designed to help in those instances though.
I have command strips on this rack that signs attach to, and on my easel, I use pegboard accessories to hold signage! :)

When drilling metal , use a nail and hammer to make an indentation so your bit doesn't move around. And a metal bit is better.

Great tip! I'll be sure to try this next time. 🙂

Oh, "just a girl"--please, you already can do more building than many guys, don't demean yourself!! You just hadn't been down the drill bit aisle in the hardware store yet!! (As a woman in her 50s, have always been DIYing--though better at starting than finishing a project). Great way to make a brace (though suggest using scrap 2x4 under where you're drilling. Pending width of unit, IKEA cross braces are cheaper option, but the 1" Al flats are stronger/more rigid! Great project & info on your build--here because looking for ways to improve my leather goods booth displays!

@@sus8e462 great tips! The ikea cross braces are too short for my dimensions but if you do shorter shelves they’d work for sure! But you’re right: not as rigid.

Hey sugar, you're more than just a girl. Women can build things also. My Papa taught me.
