For instance, one of those wins came off a guy who decided to ignore all the warnings of his teammates to let cooler heads prevail and throw a tantrum anyway, thereby costing his own team fifteen yards (and a potential touchdown) in a game his team would go on to lose by one point on a Kansas City field goal as time expired. Someone, please, convince this Cincinnati Bengals fan that Chase wasn’t responsible for that.
@thomash.schwed3662 forget about the meltdown. How about the past interference in the endzone that wasn't called by the ref? Somebody tell Thomas the chiefs are in bed with the refs.
@@thomash.schwed3662doesn’t change the fact that the refs called pi on tge bengals while not blowing their whistle on the chiefs vs the falcons. Explain that to me please
Tom Brady, Michael Jordan, Larry Byrd, and Patrick Mahomes decided to play a round of golf to decide who was the greatest GOAT. Who won? Tony Romo 😂😂🤣🤣
Actually, Romo was the commentator for the game for CBS and, when the last shot was swung, he opened his big yap before the ball even hit the fairway-or, in the case of Brady, before the ball landed in the bunker.
@@thomash.schwed3662 Really? Well, I guess I missed the entire match. I had been pondering, trying to figure out who would make a good foursome (while waiting in line at McD's), and thought it was a humorous sort of thought (I try to add little chuckles to sports channels). My bad. Kudo's. Out of here.
The way the 2nd half was unfolding, I had a feeling that the Falcons would let this game slip away. I thought that timeout was strange, too. I'll give the beat writers a pass on this due to the 4th down failures. We all watched the same game, but not everyone will view it the same way we view it. With that said, I'm happy that things unfolded the way they unfolded!
This unofficial Official Jaguar Gator 9 historian will remind everyone you made an In Defense Of video you made about the Falcons loss to the Bills in 1977. Like this game, you said that Fourth Down play would have worked had the Falcons blocked properly.
@Official Jaguar Gator 9 can we have a video of the stupidest 4th down call? 2009 Patriots vs Colts when the Pats go for it deep in their own territory, get stopped then hand it to Peyton Manning on the 28 yard line and lose? That would be a good one.
I’m not so much mad about the timeout as I still am about them not thinking for one second that they could’ve ran the Tush Push on 4th Down. As long as the NFL Rules Committee doesn’t outlaw it, learn how to run the play and JUST USE IT! It works every time.
I feel like the scriptwriters knew if the falcons didnt beat the eagles people wouldnt tune in to chiefs vs falcons. Because no one would think it was close
They called the timeout to perverse time to score, they were clearly going for the win it's all or nothing. If your the Falcons you want as much time to score a TD to win against the greatest team of all time. Second, the play was right but I wouldn't have it to the left or right there, go through the middle for the 1st down or short pass to get it.
Yeah. Let’s be real. It was the 4 and inches play that really costed them. Not the timeout. Literally there’s three plays he could’ve done to gain half a yard but coach thought the best idea was to have Robinson run left. That’s the true dumb decision of this game.
What’s crazy to me other than a legit punt this is the worst decision possible . I know it’s mahomes but you gotta slow down good qb to be good in this league. Kick a field goal. Tell judon and them to be that crew and try to get into field goal range when you get stop. Even defending against pat mahomes and relying on 3 and out would make more sense
Normally calling time out with a minute left would be fine when your driving to win the game. But that was pretty much the exact situation that you dont.
What about coach Reid's dumb decision on 3rd and 2? Why do you pass in the first place? Why not run? Especially Carson Steele was really good. Chiefs only escaped because the defense made a major stand. And refball on the 2nd to last drive. Cooks got away with a PI.
As a the 4th down play started I said, that's not gonna work. The Birdz would have been better off kicking the FG and going for an on sides kick than running the 4th down play that they did.
It depends on the situation. Not calling timeouts is dumb. Calling them when you don't need to is also dumb. It depends on what situation you're in to decide on calling them or not. No one said they don't want people calling timeouts, and no one said they want people to call timeouts for no reason.
To be fair the call that fully killed the game was kirks audible to the outside run on 4th down. Coach wasn't helping any but Kirk carries a lot of blame on the loss for that.
I don't think time out ruined their chances. I think the fact they didn't take three points down five. Because that backfired and they could have won with FG
Falcons had to go for it there. They were at the KC 6. Even though the attempt failed it pinned the Chiefs against their goal line and led to them getting another chance. A FG gives KC the ball at their own 30 up 2 but the better field position allows them to be more aggressive with the play calling. If it was 4th and long from the KC 20 then kick the FG but that close to the end zone that's your only choice.
@@KevinT7274 Exactly, I would've done the exact same thing. Down 5 with 4 minutes left, you go for it on 4th and 5 at the opponent's 6. No matter what happens, you're in a really good position either by going up 1 pending the extra point(s) or giving up the ball with terrible field position. Keeping KC's and Atlanta's next drives the same in both scenarios, Atlanta gets the ball back at their own 35 if they turn the ball over on downs or their own 9 if they make the field goal, Atlanta drives 52 yards downfield to either the KC 13 or 39. Again 4th and 1 at the KC 13 you go for it, but 4th and 1 at the 39? That's a 56 yard field goal. Koo has never kicked that long of a field goal in a game, his career long is 54. Maybe Koo would've tried from that distance in that scenario, but even keeping everything the same, the field goal argument doesn't hold up. The 4th and 5 at the 6 with 4 minutes left was the right call. The outside run play on 4th and 1 at the 13? That's a call I cannot defend. I'll give Zac Robinson some grace, it's only his 3rd game as a playcaller, but that was not the call to make there. Allgeier up the middle is, hell even a screen pass of you want to get fancy. Just keep the drive alive at that point.
@EthanNeal While Atlanta failed on the 4th and 5 what it did was make the Chiefs play calling more conservative being in the shadow of their goalposts. Half their playbook was eliminated because of the poor field position making it easier for the Falcons to get a stop. Cousins should have either called timeout or audibled on the last 4th and 1. It was obvious the Chiefs were selling out on the run.
No way in hell should my chiefs have got the W. Based on how well atl was moving the ball and how the chiefs were sputtering they should of taken the 3pts field goal on the first red zone 4th and 5. Unless their guy has had issues with accuracy. Then the second one would have won the game. Last 4th and 1 they had to go no question. It's the earlier one I found dumb.
I have no words... we're going 7-10 again, aren't we?
9-8 just missed again
More like 28-3
I mean,
You did take the Evil Empire to their limits,
As long as the Saints run out of magic pixie dust you should be fine.

The Chiefs are only 3-0 because of refball and/or opposing team's incompetence. Change my mind.
