Mr. Bob James has released and created too many gems over the course of the years. My only regret was not being able to see him in person as I stayed at an Opera Singer's house in West Nyack and he promised to take me to his place as he was a good friend of his. Regardless, I have a lot of his creations on vinyl. Forever Love and Respect to the one and only.
I remember seeing him with Kirk Whalum when Kirk was an unknown outside of Houston where we used to watch him in the clubs and new he was destined for great things. The story goes that Bob was pitching Kirk to a label, and Winton Marsalis was in the room, and the executive asked him, "you ever heard of this kid in Houston, Kirk Whalum?" and Winton said, "yeah, he's baaaad". And that was it. Kirk was in. Have seen Bob several times in concert. Always amazing.

First heard him doing You're As Right As Rain back in 70s. I was hooked since. That he has stayed productive and thru his music made this crazy world a better place is a testament to his greatness as an artist. No doubt he will treat us to some more till his last breath. Thank you Bob James!

These are world class musicians and it is a privilege to listen and watch them. For instance the young base player treats his instrument virtously on a higher skill level that I have never heard before. Amazing artists!
