The family is the basis for every human being.
While it can be difficult for many, it is crucial to understand family dynamics, inherited illnesses, secrecy, trauma, and everything that originated in the family system. What is said here is not to condone inappropriate behavior.
Repeating this prayer often will slowly soften the heart and allow more understanding and acceptance of the self and others.

My ancestors were rice planters and every time I cook rice I do a ritual by calling all of them all by their names. I can go back into the early 1800.
I love and blessed them all. I know I am living the best life because of their sacrifices.
I feel their love for me all the time. God thank you for sending me to them and them to me.
I know they are my guardian angels for my children and grandchildren and will forever more, for all those yet to come.
I say thank you Lord for everything, the good and the bad. To my ancestors I hope Ive made you proud and will continue to make you proud. Please go to our father for me for my healing. Ask for a quick turnaround. I have suffered for many years. Lord shine your light upon me and remove all sickness and suffering from my body. I just want to say, if your family is a loving one, you are blessed. but, some of these sentences hurt, actually, when your family isn't a loving one, and when one of your ancestors (maybe more than one) used you as a tool for his/her safety or wealth, and tried to destroy you when you were not useful anymore. I know this will heal with time, but sending thanks in return is a little too much to ask.
It is important to honor our time. Forcing or rushing through grief and our emotional process can be a form of violence against ourselves. Some events require more time than others. I also am not always ready to sit with everything right away. Need for pause is important. Be kind to yourself! Thank you for sharing.
