I read the book Auschwitz (I'm now 55 and have no idea who wrote it, I apologize) when I was 13 years old. I had nightmares for 3 weeks and I realize now how it shaped my view of the world and relationship with humankind..I praise God for you brother ❤️

Thank you so very much for sharing your stories. Although not jewish, my father was born in Warsaw in 1931. He never talked about what he saw until the delirium at the very end. He saw something at an orphanage & that was all we got We need to make sure what happened is never forgotten. 🕯

I'm a Berliner, born 1963 in Mariendorf. Later on moved to Frohnau. Unbelievable the city was put back together only 18 years after WW2. I only saw a few bullet holes in some buildings and found several hand cranates and artillery munitions in our forest.

Thank you for telling your story. I have found holocaust stories since my childhood helped me endure my own personal life challenges. I feel a lot of respect for the Jewish people as a whole. Thank you for everything that you endured and overcame and still care enough to share.

This is so harrowing, poor man, especially as a child how terrifying surrounded by one atrocity after another. The majority of the population were all in on it by the sounds of things at that time. It makes me angry thinking of this disgusting treatment of innocent people. I had no idea they forced children with parents to go into orphanages.

He had to say " you know" a thousand times in the long story telling. That was very distracting and offputting. Still the story holds one 's iknterest. Its amazing what he all endured at the most young age. Had he noit juimped the wall that day in Berlin he would have no doubt perished in the move East. A very moving story which again held one s attention throughout, Thank you, RM.

Thank you sir for your moving testimony. Did your father ask your mother if you could escape to Shanghai with him? Seems odd he didn’t take his son? Rory if it’s a rude question 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏👵🇦🇺

He had another family. A jewish one. I do not think they wanted him or even (coming from a non Jewish mother) they accepted him as a fellow Jew,

I think most of us would do something annoying, too, not being used to giving a soliloquy on camera.

What an uncultured, out-of-place, uncalled for comment considering this is a Holocaust Survivor’s Testimony and 1939s Germany sent all who had a Jewish Grandfather to Concentration Camps. He represents the 6 millions who were starved or died in comcentration camps - and you all you have to say is who from those 6 million “did not have a Jewish mother”?
And those precious Survivors who survived and are still alive awhat you have to say is “Your mother was not Jewish so you are not Jewish”.
      Shameful behavior.

Nazis did not care. He was half Jewish so he was Jewish. He was also circumcised and had a Hebrew name. And he almost gave his leg to Israel. I suspect he considers himself Jewish at that point:)
