Thank You for watching
average circumference of the drive wheel in meters x πι pi 3.14 x revolutions per minute
Great job showing and the wood cutting looks great. See ya on the next one see ya soon by and have ya a great day.
Incredible mill. Fantastic design. Does it cut in both forward and reverse? Looks like it does.
@ Paul DeJohn
Yes it cuts in both directions but only with manual feeding backward not to overload the nose wheel 👍
@@Svendus that's great...either way. Makes for faster production. Again...fantastic design. Hats off to you. Admire what you've done.
On Fantastic design. Simple yet so all around good
Yes it feels like magic to be able to cut your own planks with precision on this kind off sawmill and get a saw surface that is far better than any other kind off sawmill Thank you for watching 👍
the bunk ? the feeding can be adjusted to max performance
hereafter the speed adjust it self to the with of the sawcut
What's the hp & rpm on that bad boy. It's cooking😳
Be kind to check the deskription on my videos The Snik saw is a 10 Hp electric chain saw with automatic load-dependent feeding 0-15 meter min.
We handle U-restricted stock diameter max length 5.7 meters Maximum block size 20x30 inch 520x760mm
Ok thank you very much
how often do you have to change/sharpen the chain? I was thinking of making the same setup weighing the advantage disadvantages of chain vs bandsaw blade.
When we change the chain all depends on the length off the chain bar and the hardness off the timber.
With a 20 inch bar and a 72 link 3/8” chain we normally cut 45-50 m3 planks in 1 to 2 inch thickness one bar can be used with 2-3 chains.
How often you sharpen depends very much on how much dirt you have on the bark on the side off the timber where the chain enters the wood .
The chain quality of the cut can only be compared with a band saw with 75-100mm bandwidth and such a saw is a completely different price point.
@@Svendus thank you for answering !
Nice konstruktion. How do you control the speed on the feed? Can you mill in both direktions?
The feed are friction drive watch video no. 3 ruclips.net/video/krgGyR8jwQI/видео.html
Yes the mill cut backwards manually mostly leigh cuts not to overload the nose wheel

Are these panel saws are themselves in a position to buy from anywhere
Anti Ahone All right
If i understand your question right
The SNIK saws are custom build for our own use
up to day not manufactured for sale.
I have a couple of questions. 1what is the horsepower of the moter you are using?
2nd what are the pulley sizes you are using ?
You will get all this information in the videos and descriptions thank you for watching ruclips.net/p/PLEyjr4Z1wC9J_AfzEcnlOHnMksFw0UpHn
Very nice mill. I am also interested in your self propelled log arch. Is that item available in the U.S.?
The self propelled log arch we call it the Log Elephant :-)
The monster is not available fore sale but feel free to copy me !
It was build for our own needs from some old spare square metal pipes
mostly because we did not have a tractor before last year.
this is way cool...and fast...wonder what the chain speed is?
Hi Ari
Chain speed is constant at 20 meters per second
installed 7.5 kw The motor is an ARGUS 55 + and we charge double the rated power 15 kw 30 A
Chain raker is 1mm i doesn't recommend this without nose wheel lubrication. feeding pressure 0- 50 kg 0-15 meter p. min.
Alright we have experimented with high speed chainsaw sword
and 404 chain 35 meters per second, but have stayed at 20 m sec ( do to security and wear)
about the same as a professional chainsaw...not too much, so the chain and sprocket should last just fine with smoother tension of the electric motor...
a regular chain or a harvester chain with double the teeth?
Ari Lehtiniemi harvester chain 404 "make 9 mm saw cut a 3/8" Ripping chain 7-8 mm we have of cause tried 404" they are very strong but makes lots of sawdust :-)
a 404" with 6 mm saw cut should be good, but manufacturers want big volummen and can not take on small orders, the Picco chain are wery nice but do not stand long @ 15 kw
No, Picco chain can definetely not take 15kW electric motor...even 2.8kW Husqvarna 550 XP has trouble with 1,3mm (.050") chain not lasting.
amazing piece of machine :O. I would like to build one myself but don't know where start. Do you have plans of this machine?
No sketches was actually made it was build from fantasy alone.
Svend Nielsen oow okay, i am just wondering how to mount the chainsaw bar on the motor and for adjusting the tension on the chain. Do you detailed pics of it, or could you send me some?
Svend Nielsen
And how much rpm produces the motor for the chain ?
enzo welvaert
we have some pictures on our website www.trahantering.se/trahandteringen/snik/snik1.html
enzo welvaert
8000 rpm. with a 8 sprocket 3/8 " the chain speed is 20 m/s.
Nice! Thanks
You say you use a modified.404 chain. How is it modified?
a 404 with 7mm cut
Where can i buy some machine like this second hand? Belgium.
Thank You for watching
The sawmill are custom built only in two ex. and were not set in production
is there an adjustment on the bunk?
how many rpm does that chain move at??
@@stephencourt519 21meter p. min spindel speed 8000 rpm
Are your chainsaw mill products available in the USA?
No Garry we have only build 2 machines a 5.7 Meter (18 feet 813⁄32 inches) and one 7.5 Meter (24 feet 79⁄32 inches) 10 and 15 Hp
where does one get his hands on a set of plans for this saw mill?
+MrTwobears
No Plans were ever made for the SNIK Chainsaw mill it was build out of our fantasy.
Svend Nielsen how much does this cause
