Your video tutorial on this pattern is by far the best! You take the time to show how each individual piece is put together in the block. That is such a big help for a beginner! Thank you
I’ve watched a lot of tutorials but this is so easy to follow and understand. One of the steps I’ve never seen before that really helps is after sewing the patch is to use your small square to tidy up and eliminates being just off enough to not line up correctly. Thanks so much.
Thank you for taking the time to share your videos with us !! I so enjoy them and am learning new tricks from you even though I have been quilting for 30 years ! Again I appreciate you !!!
Thank u for this, makes it easy. I'm a visual person and my brain has a hard time following written directions for quilting. My son is a hunter so I want to make one for him.
I think this may work for my Christmas star, I am giving this a try. Thanks for your really clear tutorials. Yay. This is in your book, so I'll have fun. Thanks again.
Claro que si, todos los trabajos muy hermosos, sencillos y en poco tiempo se da el tutorial. Nomas que se me hace caro el metro de tela de algodon aqui para poder hacer algo grande. Saludos de la paz, bcs, México.
Thank you for getting back to me, but what I don’t understand is how do you no with style of half square triangles to cut each time. To do the fall to do the fold over or the double stitch
Well watching your u tube video youSowed on its side and then cut down the middle. Other times you so down the middle and cut a quarter inch away how do you know which one to make even after the pattern calls for help I have square triangles how do you know which one to make
If you follow the blog step by step it indicates clearly which squares to use every time. All of the HSTs are done the same way. Maybe it’s too fast to see? You can select the speed of the video in the player settings.
Hello thanks for getting back to me, my question look silly I’m sorry about that it’s just that I thought you all used a special kind of starch , thanks again.
Is it because the prints are too close? Use contrasting colours and use a fixed image of the final block to ensure the placement is correct. I’ll release a pattern that includes this star in about weeks.
It could be a Lemoyne Star though it’s not quite that either. I was inspired by a Hunter’s star block, so I’m calling it Hunter’s star inspired block 😊
Yeah I didnt know about the other star name so I looked it up and saw a few videos on it. I guess it would be half of a Hunters Star pattern.... but it should be a name in and of its self cause its pretty. Good job.
There are only two uploads on how to make the Star of David block. One is only a little over a minute long and the other is in Spanish with music only. Please Teresa, see PATCHWORK FACIL-ESTRELA DE DAVI. Can you make one for us (me), with instructions. Pat-South Padre Island, Texas
Island is over run with Spring Breakers from all of the U S. Heading to Houston to stay with friends until the end of the month. I should have enough of this block (11) finished, ready to quilt by the time I return to my haven by the Beach.
I can understand how the star is inspired by the star part in a hunter star pattern, but the "hunter" part is the secondary pattern arrowhead shape which is entirely missing, so I agree the video title is a bit misleading. This is a very traditional Lemoyne star.

I made this block out of scraps to see if I could make it. I have to say it came out so pretty. Best block I've ever made. Thank you so much.

Not sure I understand sorry
How many yards of each color fabric do I need to purchase to make a queen size quilt.?
I haven’t got a pattern for a quilt using just this block sorry
Great, love the music, & for Tomee, I think slow the speed down & take note of instructions to follow which triangles go where.
Thank you 😊
Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!!!!!
You are so welcome!
Very pretty
👍
Very nice.you make it appear so achievable 😁. A question, do you not like to use a triangle when trimming your half squares?
I’ve had bad experiences with triangles
Teresa DownUnder really? I’ve watched tutorials and they look so efficient. I have just bought one - haven’t used it yet.
Very nice!
Thank you
Lovely, as ever ✂️✂️✂️😘😘😘

Half square Triangles how do you know which one to cut or Make is what I was trying to say before my fingers got in the way and push the send button

All good
What kind of foot attachment did you use for the double seem down the middle
I use a 1/4" quilting foot
Love it!

Very pretty nicely done, however its not a Hunters Star....what is its name?
It could be a Lemoyne Star though it’s not quite that either. I was inspired by a Hunter’s star block, so I’m calling it Hunter’s star inspired block 😊
@@teresadownunder it's simply 8 pointed star. Lemoyne and Hunter,as you know require a lot more work. But it's a nice video of 8 pointed star.

What did you stiffen your squares with please.
You can starch you fabric to stiffen it

I’ll put it down on my list for next year
Bravooooooo!!!
😊
Aren’t all the squares in the beginning 4” ....why is one set as 3.5 “?
Not sure I understand
The 4 inch ones get sewn twice so they become smaller. The 3.5 inch squares go in the corner and don't need to be larger to account for seams
Ustedhace maravilla, peto necesitamos esplicacion o un tutorial para aprender bendiciones

@@teresadownunder bendiciones, se le admira por su bellos trabajos
For a true “Hunters Star” you need the 4 patches between.
Yes, I realise that 😊🌷
Amazing👏👏👏👍

This is not Hunter Star
You’re right, it’s not *the* Hunters star.
I guess she can name her block whatever she wants
👍😊
@@Dees23 well, actually, no she can't
