He always seems to be showing affection and attraction to men. Lots of the stuff he says and does are kind of gay(in a good way.) Not to mention all the flirtatious stuff he does with other guys. You would think someone like him would have already had a gf or wife if he was straight but he still doesn't. I think he might be bi with an edge towards men. The label probably wanted to push the narrative of him being a straight heartthrob to get the most fans in his earlier days which is why there was the Selena thing and why he seems to avoid directly answering questions about his love life that most men gladly would.
