Woah....tractor tire getting worn down......good job... .
Gonna let me know when you are around the Arms Family Homestead! I would really enjoy meeting y’all!
Lol broke back mountain looks like his favorite movie!
Great video
I’m relocating to NC next year. I find a herd of cattle to be therapeutically calming for me and I enjoy seeing them. So I would like a herd on my property.
Can A Hobby Herd Pay for Themselves
Say 30 Cattle or So?
On this thought, I would like to know if it’s possible to get a small herd to at least pay their own way, that is at least break even on the cost of keeping them via the cattle themselves?
Cattle Rancing for a Living
My second thought is that if I could, I would really enjoy ranching beef cattle for a living. I would appreciate pointers on:
Is it possible to do this with beef cattle alone, that is without getting into dairy?
How to get started?
How many cattle needed to earn a sustainable living?
How many acres for said amount of cattle? (Carrying capacity)
I’m serious about this desire and would appreciate some real kind supportive feedback.
Thanks
I like that Garth music at a minute in - rep'ing Oklahoma nicely!
Your right Josh its beautiful. One day I hope we can live under jackson hole.
Nice love the Farm stock 2018
Loving it Josh. Love the wooooo’s lol 😂
That’s an insane AMU number!!
I have watched most of Blake's videos and I have to say, that is the first time I have seen him not moving in some way.
Check out the hot springs in Saratoga Wy. Tc. HoppyBob

Great video, that song brings back memories Garth brooks beaches of Cheyenne . What an exciting tour. Thank you to Meyer hatcherys. Cheyenne Wyoming is that why you're listening to that song?
General repair
General Repair love that song. Garth puts on one hell of a concert too.
Daniel Mcclellan I bet he does but I have never been. He doesn't come up to my neck of the woods too much riffraff . 😂
Wyoming is way east for me. Hopefully you got to see the Rockies and you should have if you went to Idaho.
Nice place
Awesome
Sure is dry there. Hard work wooooo!
During the six winter months of year, yeah it's really dry here. Humidity is down normally around 20%, give or take 5%. But the rest of the year, it's up around 35 to 40%...more when it rains. You may use a lot of lotion at first along with antistatic spray and use a humidifier during the winter months, but you eventually get used to it. If you're talking water to be found, there are some great well people here. They use technology to find water. So it's not a gamble. A typical well costs around $20,000 here because of how deep one typically has to dig to get to water.
👍 stoney Ridge
OWL!!!!! Woooooooooooo!!!!
Dude come to texas!!
The Poiice have just announce that the man who fell into a Combine whilst trying to steal it has been bailed!!!!
lol
Stop in sutherland ne on your way back home
Blake needs a lake or large pond.
America
WOOOOOOO!!!!
Guyinwy 👍🏻
WOOOOO!!!
Asking a farmer how many cattle he has is like asking a woman her age... u just dont do it :-)
Lol i guesss
I wonder where in the USA that "don't ask about cattle head" truism kicks in? I will guess west of the river in the middle of SD? Someone straighten me out if I am wrong.
Dave Allen im from ireland and its an unwritten rule to never ask how many cattle a farmer has
He ain’t no cowboy he’s got a flat hat
Lol. Wyoming is called the Cowboy State.
BeardedBarley1 so?
Can you get cows
We will be putting up fences and starting our cattle operation as soon as finances get right....each cow costs $400-$1500 ...this is a major expense...fencing is about $7 per foot in materials....draw just one line around a 200 acre farm and tell me how much that's gonna cost....farming aint easy brotha
I was always taught you need around 2 acres per cow. That's for around here though. Different deal for him.
What I hear is don't move to Wyoming.
LOL...So many landscapes...I think it's beautiful..but it aint Florida....weather is harsh a lot of the time
You get used to it.
+Stoney Ridge Farmer -- It's beautiful for about six months out of the year...then not so much. We get lots of gorgeously huge rainbows and awesome displays of lightning storms and wide open spaces that show some of the most spectacular sunsets ever seen along with the large open spaces causing massive amounts of privacy, and it's wonderful conservative country if anyone is into that, which is the main reason many of us come here. But it's certainly not for everyone because the windchill during the six months of winter here can get down to -50 while the snow can get as deep as five feet though snow drifts can cause snow to be as deep as nine or ten feet. Those bad times don't last but a few days normally though, but people just have to learn to be prepared for them is all. Also, during the spring and a couple of the summer months, tornadoes and damaging hail are a scare. Again, preparation helps and so does understanding how your land works.
