- I apologize for the sniffling sounds heard throughout the video as I was ill at the time of the playthrough.
In this video, 2 of my friends, Purplexsium and VSucc, decided to do a Rain World Co-op.
It was originally Purple's idea and he owns both the game and the "Downpour" DLC, while I only owned the game (at the time) and thankfully remote play doesn't require that you own the game, so VSucc was also able to join! Both of these 2 people also appeared often in my previous Risk of Rain 2 video.
Credits to Purplexsium for the thumbnail and the art shown in Five Pebbles' Room at around 5 minutes, 45 seconds into the video!

I'd recommend staying away from lizards in the start and just getting used to the controls.

It does work, yeah.
that's why saint is the weirdest (/worst?) to play in coop... they're pretty useless in combat till ten karma... then the dynamic is flipped on it's head and they get to instakill. I didn't experience it myself but it's probably pretty frustrating in both cases. That's for the gameplay tho, the friendly banter that coop invites doesn't suffer that much ig.

Couch coop, so you'd have to use steam remote play.

I don’t know if anyone will reply, and I’m sorry this comment isn’t rly related to the video, but I can’t find any info on how to actually play jolly co op?? Me and my pal both have it switched on in the remix menu and like both set our games for 2 players and stuff, but whenever we spawn in there’s just an unmoving slugcat bot with the name we put for each other and we aren’t in the game together at all. How do we invite each other? Do we have to restart the game? Do we have to be in the same den in both our saves? We were in the same room irl so shouldn’t it be working? Or am I doing something wrong?
Last time I asked someone about this I don’t think they understood what I meant so I’ll be clear with my question here: how do we join actually each other? Are you supposed to connect to each other’s game automatically or do you have to send some kind of invite?
It uses steam remote play and you send invites with that

@@BlueMaskGuy Steam remote play allows you to connect to the host's PC, it's like watching a twitch stream but you also do inputs to control a character. If you open the shift+tab menu while in game, you can right click on a friend and select remote play together
@@jeffkiller3634 ohh ok I think I’m kinda getting what u mean. so can we both individually control our characters from our different pcs or do we have to both be sitting at one screen and using controllers or something?
@@BlueMaskGuy you are both sharing the screen, though it is *remote*-- you are streaming the game to your friends and they are capable of providing inputs to their character, which means there is no split screen. there is a system for giving the camera to someone else if they are in a different room than you. :)
-you can use steam remote play even if only the host owns the game.
-whoever has strongest internet connection and a better computer should generally host. if you are quite a distance away from the other players the lag can be very bad on their end, for example across the country or in another country.

its whenever it reachers karma 10. Since theyre on survivor campaign they just talked to 5P and got it, thats why it has it so early
