Thank you for this video! I was always wondering how some users got the sort of sparse leaves/clouds look going, I wouldn't have thought to use colour randomization and deleting one or two colours, really helpful.
First, great tutorial. Thank you. Really dumb question, but how do you get to dropdown menu to randomize color? I know you can type in command, but couldn't figure out which click to get drop down. Thanks!
Left click-drag the range of colors in the palette you wish to select. then right click on one of the selected tones and rand is one of the options. I'm still learning the program too but figuring that bit out made everything very interesting for a while :) learning the shaders and lighting and materials has been a trip!
I usually delete a few of the colors until it starts looking like you want! Until the end, you can basically think of the colors as proportions. If you have 5 colors, and randomize and delete 1, it leaves 80%. You can randomize between more to get finer control. Afterwards, you may want to randomize again

After we randomize the colors, how do we delete some to space out the leaves?
