Can anyone here acknoledge how with every album of this band the music composition gets better and more epic but the lyrics keep growing more and more silly? And contrast is part of what makes Alestorm awesome XD
I can already see the video for this. Alestorm on their pirate ship being overrun by zombies. Bowes as the captain hacking off zombie heads and arms while singing. Patty Gurdy singing on the poop deck while Elliot bashes a zombie's face in with a brick.
The first of your works where I turned my smartphone to full screen and recognized the movement of the lyrics against the background when shaking it. Awesome!!!
@@Thomas.Wright My parents used to play "Hurdy Gurdy Man" by Donovan a lot when I was a child, it hasn't got any actual hurdy-gurdy in it but it's a banging tune. And his voice does sound like a hurdy-gurdy a bit in it. But when I hear actual hurdy-gurdy music now, I love it. Maybe they tricked me! But no seriously, her gurdy and voice is great, really awesome. My favourite is "Chomp Chomp" tho: hurdy-gurdies, chugging guitars, evil amphibians and somehow they slipped in a guitar solo that sounds like Slayer or Morbid Angel and it somehow works? What a riiiide, mauled to death by alligators all singing CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP
@@Thomas.Wright Yeah man, I'd love it if they made a video for Chomp Chomp with her in it. I actually hadn't heard of Patty Gurdy before this album, she's fucking well talented.
@@Thomas.Wright Cheers mate, yeah I watched a bunch of Storm Seeker videos after discovering Patty Gurdy - they're great! I haven't heard "Row..." though, I'll give it a blast right now. I love all the mad instruments they use, super creative combo of folk and metal.
Everytime I close my eyes while this music is playing I imagine a caotic cinematic pirate armada fighting against a silent army of underwater ghouls during a dry thunder storm from 00:00 to 2:39. When the woman sings at 2:40 I imagine her in the last ship standing, full of ghouls, winning, she walks in slow-mo in the middle of the skirmish, then she shows a pirate bomb on fire, smiles and bowling it to a bunch of gunpowder barrels at 3:09 lighting the ship on a big explosion, at 3:35 everybody is resting undersea, slowing decayin to the abyss, the ship is on fire at the surface alot of smoke, alot of ghouls still grabbing the rests of the falling ship, then at 4:04 a huge Man-of-war trespasses the woman ship wreckages with working saw baldes in it's hull, all the crew man with hard iron spanish vests shooting and cutting all the ghouls at sight.
Druids sending zombies to eat a pirate ship whose wood was once part of their forest? Sounds like an awesome D&D, Tiny Tina's Dragon Keep, and Witcher quest
Yep. The story goes that one night when the sea winds moan, old shark-face will walk upon the land, and all his man-eaters will leave the briny deep and follow him, driving all of us humans back into the sea. - Milo Meekly, The New Scooby-Doo Movies - The Secret of Shark Island

Comment aged like milk, with the release of Seventh Rum of a Seventh Rum.
Sounds like the theme of a CoD Zombies map consisting of a burning pirate fleet in the 1700s.

Yes please, we need an official music video for this song!

Try playing Left 4 Dead to this song. The feeling is extraordinary!
I love listening to this song, and any other from these guys, while playing sea of thieves
I thought this might be coming, you glorious dendrophagic luminescent lyrical bastard.
I don't even know what this song is about, and yet it amuses me.
About zombies eating a pirate ship

That would be a good live action movie you are a genius artist
That sounds awesome
That art is crazy! *Almost as crazy as Alestorm!*
my favorite of Curse of the crystal coconut
2:41 who's the singer?
Patty Gurdy! She also plays the hurdy gurdy for several songs on this album.
@@richardfoehringer193 She does have a slight accent when speaking. But for some reason, accents work by different rules when it comes to singing.
@@rockyblacksmith Ozzy Osbourne is the poster child for that phenomenon.
Realy cool song!
