- With the new, fully electric Volvo EM90 premium MPV, Volvo wants to unlock a space for living. It’s a car that is designed to be a space where you can find time to connect, think or just relax.
As a fully electric car, the EM90 provides a range of up to 738 kilometres under the CLTC testing cycle. The car comes with a 116 kWh battery and the charging time from 10 to 80 per cent is expected to be under 30 minutes. Powered by an e-motor with 200kW power output, the EM90 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds.
Like our EX90 flagship SUV, the EM90 is equipped with all the hardware necessary to enable bi-directional charging. This feature allows you to use the battery of the EM90 as a power bank to charge other electric cars and appliances.
The EM90 comes with 19- or 20-inch aero wheels, in which engineering artistry meets aero efficiency to further help optimise driving range.
Generous cabin width and legroom inside a premium interior are only the beginning. A wide variety of premium materials, luxury lounge seats with so-called zero-gravity cushions, a large panoramic sunroof to enjoy the skies above you, and beautiful Scandinavian design details all come together and create a space that allows you to enjoy life to the fullest while you’re on the move.
The Volvo EM90 is coming first to China and is now available for pre-orders for customers in China.

What? I owned a Volvo that was based on a Ford Focus, nobody had a problem with that back then. Volvo has more brand identity now under Geely than they ever did with Ford.
This is only for the China market and they didn't do this at all with the EX30. I wouldn't conclude this is the end of Volvo brand identity. If this happens with the next car, then I worry. But not now.

@@edwardzhang5166 It's a car designed in Sweden with partial Swedish engineering. It is a rebadge of the Zeekr009. Zeekrs are designed in Sweden and partially engineered there.

Dude the whole design team is made up of old Swedish Volvo team, resided in Sweden. Chinese fear they will tarnish the reputation among Chniese consumer so they leave them be(many Chinese want Volvo to be Swedish). The only caveat is from time to times China's Geely will peep into the production and everything and took all technology to improve their Geely's own cars , and that's what happening to Zeekr, one of the top EV newcomers.

I've never seen an ugly volvo until this one, every other one is a pinnacle of design. This is one of the worst designs ever, especially the rear.

@@benjaminsmith2287 problem with volvo is, that the qualitystandards of their cars have been lowered the past years. Under Ford and certainly under Geely ownership.... . The focus is on lease/business cars with a lifespan of 5 or 6 years in mind... and Volvo's (Swedish) heritage as long as it lasts... .
I have had several old school Volvo's, 200 series, 700 series, 900 series. Unique cars, well build, excellent paintjob and Swedish. The Geely Volvo's are opportunistic marketing....succesful?, yes. A VOLVO, No.

Zeekr 009 has 544HP, 140kwh CATL Kirin battery for a 800km range and can do 0-100 in 4.5 seconds.
Fun fact for the naysayers. Zeekr, Volvo and Lynk&Co all under Geely and they share technologies and develop cars together. This is not simply a rebadge
@@manwell235 Oh yes it is. Zeekr and Lynk and Co. are connected but Volvo is a different company in a different division in the Geely Group. Look at the Volvo EX30 and the Zeekr X. None of the body panesl on the Zeekr X are the same as the Volvo EX30. Not one. Look at the interiors of the Zeekr X vs. the Volvo EX30. They're totally different. The Zeekr009 and the Volvo EM90 have the same exterior side panels and a lot of the same components and general framework of the interior. This is a simple rebadge and very uncharacertistic of Volvo. tbh, it dilutes the Volvo brand to do something so lazy and unimaginative.
The front face of this car is covered with pimples, which makes people feel very uncomfortable.

Designer of today’s era should understand how to integrate the displays on dashboards, everyone is putting HUGE TABLETS which looks awkward . Such displays should be put on rear seats, not in front of a driver …

見た目は良いが、それほど売れないと思います。ミニバンが大好きな日本にも似たようなモデルがありましたが、こういうスタイリングとコンセプトのモデルは一時的に売れても結局は淘汰されました。日本車の方が優れているということではなく、これは日本車の中でも失敗作にとても似ているという話です。

Ugly design on the outside, and lazy design on the inside, copying Teslas lazy cheap interior design decision to bolt a monitor in the center of the dashboard is lame but! It’s an SUV so it’s crap anyway, I just hope when they make an electric wagon/estate they exercise some restraint and do a tasteful job in keeping with the traditions of the company!

@@Carfan678 we are a Volvo family for 3 generations. We got Mercedes and BMW also, but always go back to Volvo due to its interior details. Not just the leather but how they design from the handle bar location, to its seat's size for comfort😊🎉

I have a family of six and there's literally only the Tesla Model X my only option if I donÄt want to become a bus driver (and have limited range and outdated products like the Merzedes EQV). So why can I not buy this here in europe?
