- Hi Guys! It has only been a few days since i reacted to Dimash, but i couldn't help myself and wait, so here's my reaction to his live performance of "Screaming. I can't get over this intricate performance. Everythi point from the set design, to the dancers and of course Dimash himself! Hope you like it!

Dimash is really the whole package. Not only is he a fantastic singer and multi-instrumentalist, he is also a great performer. He composed this song and the stage show was realized according to his ideas. No need to say more than that.

Cato, they have a behind the scenes for this one. It shows Dimash meeting and the changes in the song that he wants. It is a good look when he is in creative mode. I think you would type in Idol Hits Dimash behind the scenes. You will also see the pride they felt building that set.

You were right about the microphone technique. There is a skill to it, I know about this because I used to sing karaoke for about 6 years. Some of the people I sang with were professional and I used to study them as they did this. It's kind of like playing a slide trombone-you have to know how far to hold the mic away from your mouth to get the right effect, and it does take practice.
Don't be jealous of Dimash. Ballet is a very difficult skill and requires a practically perfect physique and many hours of practice to perform, and not everyone has the right bone structure etc. to do it so they'd be ruled out from the start. I'm sure if every man on the planet were to meet you the vast majority would be very, very jealous. Dancers are some of the most attractive people on the planet, along with figure skaters. I'll bet you turn heads EVERYWHERE. Dimash has his skill, and you have yours. And in my book, you're right up there with him. 😚😚😚😚😚

I very much agree with you. There's a proper technique to it and it prevents the singers from sounding like they're "screaming" the notes, especially if they're doing powerful belts! Also when there's a difficult note which is hard to end in a pleasant way.
I'm so happy that you liked the little dance video I added to my previous video. I really want to try to do more of them to other performances that he has done. I was an alto/soprano with a 3-octave range until I developed a growth in my throat which now throws my voice off-key. The artists whose songs I used to sing are Madonna, Cher, Joan Baez, Gloria Estefan, Janis Joplin, Barbara Striesand, K. D. Lang, Dido, Jewel, Stevie Nicks, Shania Twain, Sarah Maclachlan and Patti LaBelle, and male singers who had the same vocal range as me, like Paul McCartney, Brian Adams, Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder, J. D. Souther, B. J. Thomas, Phil Collins and The Eagles. What are your favorite songs to sing and who are the artists?
I was trained vocally when I went to performing arts university, so I can harmonise and sing, but that is not one of my strongest suits at all! I am Baritone, but can hit notes of a tenor in when belting, but not otherwise. What is quite funny actually is that it sounds like my voice is higher because I speak with a higher pitch when speaking English whereas when I speak Norwegian it's much lower! Those sounds like amazing artists and songs to sing to and cover. Singing brings so much joy, so I hope you're still belting out some tunes just for your own joy and happiness! :) I really love Mariah Carey, Celine Dion and Kelly Clarkson. Josh Groban has a really good voice as well! I also forgot to mention Musicals, a lot of songs from Musicals! :)

My voice gives me sadness now because it goes off-key, so I don't sing any more, but I still listen to music and it gives me great joy. I've now become a fan of A'Studio, who wrote the song Sinful Passion that Dimash sang. Their songs are so beautiful, you should check them out. The reason I think your voice rises in pitch when speaking English is that perhaps it is your second language, so you expend more effort in order to make sure your grammar, pronunciation and inflections are correct, so that makes your pitch go up. (Your English is excellent by the way, and your manners are WONDERFUL! Good job!) Whereas, Norwegian is your native language and you're more relaxed when speaking it, so your pitch goes down.

Great reaction! Happy belated birthday. You look great. I'm almost 70 and my advice for you is just enjoy every day, life is short. I love this version of screaming but you can find the original MV for the song on Dimash's RUclips channel. It is different. Which one do you like best? Also, Gloria Wu has a video of behind the scenes of the Idol hits one that's interesting to watch.

It feels like you just blink and suddenly 5 years has passed by, but I have to say that the older I get the more confident and secure I feel within myself! I did watch the original music video after making this video , but I have to say that I like this version better actually! The original was very good, but I was something about the layer of voices towards the end of the song that didn't sit quite right with me. Hi Cato, Belated Happy Birthday 🥂That was a superb reaction to this amazing performance. Yeah 20yrs honing his voice pays off ! As you say there must be something there from the start and there is a vid on here about his mum talking about when he was 5yrs old he came home from his music school and was playing the piano at home when he said to his mum " Something wrong, piano broken! " sure enough she got the tuner in and it was off tune, not by much but Dimash had picked up on it ... at 5yrs old !!! There is Gloria Wu's video of this performance where she has behind scenes clips of him meeting the show producers and saying how he wanted to rework "Screaming" he said about "Movie" style opening, introducing some "Folkie" element but he still surprised us all with the rap. Also it shows some after show footage in his apartment in China with some of his "People" ... its funny, you should take a look. 👌👌👍👍😊😊

It's amazing how some people are just born with a close to perfect ear for music. I've watched a lot of Mariah Carey interviews through the years and it's almost the same story with her! In fact, I feel like I need to watch more "Behind the scenes" videos of him so that I get to see a bit more of him in a "normal" environment! :)
Yeah take a look at screaming behind the scenes particularly the one after the show it really shows his quirky sense of humour. Theres another recent vid on here with one of the other competitors from singer 2017 and she says Dimash is a lovely, adorable young man, apparently every day when they all arrived for rehearsal he used to come in and tell them all a joke ... of course no one had any idea what he was saying and he used to have a good laugh on his own ... aawh bless !! 😊😊@@catotnnessen8554

Yes, Dimash is rapping. He integrated this new rap with his first music video Screaming. Came out very good. Everyone in shock. " I did not know he can rap"!He really is a performer. Versatile. By the way, he is having a concert in London, England in Nov. 19. Thank you, your professional reaction is spot on.

It was certainly a very good idea to rearrange the song and add parts to it, like the rap and the traditional bit he added to it! I think it was a very clever idea and of course, his singing was amazing as always! :)

I'm not going to repeat your words, no matter how tempted I am to do so. -- I understand that you turned 27, and got a computer for birthday present. CONGRATS. I'm 75, so my 27th birthday is far, far away in the obscurity of the past. At the age of 27 I had been married (not officially married then the way we are today) to my husband already for two years. -- One of the good aspects of being this old is that I can grant myself a few liberties, like I can be nasty about and to "vocal coaches", or giggling commentators who rake their hairs incessantly or eat their porridge, or present disparaging comments on gays, and not bother about insulting them; because they deserve to be insulted, says a 75-year-old man. With you, Dear Cato, I have never had that type, or any type, of difficulties or disagreements because your comments could be mine if only I was as verbally talented as you are. BTW. Thank you very much! I really enjoyed this performance and am really impressed over how well put together it was! And there were certainly some surprising elements such as the rap and the traditional part of the song! In other words: another great performance from Dimash! Снова добро пожаловать! Я надеюсь у вас был потрясающий день. Итак я знаю, что прошло не много времени с тех пор, как я сделал реакцию на Димаша поющего "Адажио". Но довольно много людей попросили меня посмотреть его живое выступление "Screaming" на Idol Hits. У меня выходной и поэтому я действительно хочу посмотреть это. Итак это видео "Screaming". Вчера я вошёл в 27-й год на этой планете и... сколько времени утекло. Я просто не могу поверить, что мне 27. Я себя чувствовал на годы моложе, как будто мне 22. И теперь я в том возрасте когда я вспоминаю и обдумываю прошлое, прошедшие дни, говорю о том как много времени ушло. О Боже мой... не могу поверить... Это какое то сумасшествие! Ещё три года и мне будет 30! Мне всегда хотелось быть тридцати летним, просто потому что тогда наконец-то я бы покончил с этим двадцатилетием. Но когда это приближается то становится страшно. Но тут я ничего не могу поделать. Полагаю. Так что отбросим это. У меня был вчера прекрасный день. Я был избалован, совершенно испорчен, чувствовал себя невероятно. Оставил на этот день жизнь пай-мальчика, что не типично для меня. И среди множества подарков я нашёл ЭТО. (показывает яблоко). Понимаете? Я был в восторге! И я почувствовал себя слишком привилигированным, чтобы чувствовать себя скверно. Но по крайней мере теперь, когда я вырисовываю как это будет работать, я возможно смогу более творчески подойти к моим видео и начать больше экспериментировать. Теперь когда я имею действительно хороший компьютер для обработки и производства моих видео. Так как я являлся только пользователем очень очень старого компьютера, то это напрашивалось, потому что мой старый ипустил дух. Так что это полный восторг. Я действительно в восторге от этого, так что давайте просто перейдём к просмотру. Услышал довольно много об этом... Так что давайте смотреть. Посмотрим, что я об этом думаю.

8:00 Я подымаю мои руки за это! Это что то особенное я бы сказал. Я должен сказать, что это хорошо поставленная группа с хорошей позой в конце этой песни.

8:20 Прямо не знаю с чего начать. Столько всего было. Столько всего хочется сказать об этом. Это целое выступление которое просто.... просто так хорошо поставлено. Это обалдеть. Просто с самого начала и... Я думаю с него и начну. Просто соберусь. Я просто поражён этим.
8:40 Оформление сцены, пиротехника, подтанцовка, просто всё так хорошо поставлено и так профессионально. Неимоверно! И сама идея, как начинается видео со съёмки его перед тем как он выходит на сцену, была действительно умной.
9:00 И это более тянет на поп песню / коммерческую. Я слышал об этом и я думаю это очень умно с его стороны сделать это: обратиться к широкой публике во всем мире. Я действительно так считаю. И она легко запоминается. И я повторюсь: вам хочется подпевать с аудиторией когда её задействует, когда он протягивает ей микрофон. Мне захотелось ему подпевать. Это действительно так.
9:30 И.. Его головной голос просто неимоверный. По моему это называется фальсетто, когда вы используете больше воздуха и более с прыдыхом. И как раз эти его ноты становятся по настоящему красивыми, чем когда он использует свой полный головной голос. Но это что-то действительно красивое, когда он использует больше дыхания. Это создаёт просто разные эффекты. Это действительно так.
10:00 И затем: это выглядит очень легко. Он просто открывает рот и его голос издаётся. Вы понимаете, что я имею ввиду. Конечно же это более театрально, что вполне понятно для выступления. Но когда он это делает, то создаётся впечатление что он просто открывает рот и звух появляется, что неимоверно.
10:25 Вы знаете, что я сравниваю его в сущности с балетным танцором, потому что он поставил своей целью работать так тяжело и быть настолько дисциплинированным, чтобы добиться видимости этой лёгкости. И если вы хотите, чтобы это выглядело легко, в том случае если вы танцор или певец или кто бы то ни было, вы становитесь мастером своего дела или очень близким к этому. Это может всегда быть улучшено, вы понимаете о чем я: перфекционализм - всегда шаг вперёд. Но если вы можете сделать так что это выглядит легко: то как он это делает, то это является высшим мастерством и профессионализмом. Это действительно впечатляет. И кульминация, вы же знаете, невероятна.
11:25 Я просто, действительно так счастлив, что увидел это. Это совершенно невероятно. И... Я должен даже упомянуть о его технике владения микрофоном. Там где он отводит микрофон ото рта в вашу сторону, он действительно хорош в этом. Понимаете? Это также является весьма умелым.
