- In this video, I'm going to show you how to use remote connection software to use your Microsoft Access database on an Android device, iPhone, iPad, or any other computer.
Derrick from Atlanta, Georgia (a Gold Member) asks: What is the best way to use my Access database on my Phone? I don't always want to lug a laptop around with me, or pull one out while I'm talking to a client at their house. I'd love to be able to just whip out my phone and look up their orders, product pricing, etc. and even put a new order in the system for them.
Silver Members and up get access to an Extended Cut of this video. Members will learn how to create a single form that will use subforms to navigate through the database. We will create buttons to open the customer list and to add a new customer. We'll make buttons to page up and down through continuous forms instead of using the scroll bar, and we'll make buttons for tab and shift tab, to go between fields. I will also show you how to build an on-screen keyboard as an alternative to the Android keyboard as a fun side project.

Mr rost you are the master of ms access in our generation. Keep the good job. Pls show us how to use ms access as frontend and online SQL as backend.
Thank you. I appreciate that. See 599cd.com/AccessSQL
Hi my name is Maldo! I love your words “it’s very easy!” And the way you explain.... I have no idea of all these but I will learn from you if it’s easy! Thank you!
LOVE IT!!! 🤩
Thanks!
Love this!
Glad you approve!
Yay! Thank you!
Welcome. :)
I had no idea that I wanted to do this until I saw this video.
And now you can't stop thinking about it. :)
Richard I can only speak on behalf of myself but for sure many people are hardly waiting for your new video how to install Amazon Wirtual Space on their PC or laptops and be able to open MDB files with orders, sales, ect. using their smartphones.
It's on the list
@@599CDok. if ready how to be notified about it ? by following Access TechHelp ?
Hi Richard, it is a very interesting subject.
I tried it and it works perfectly with my iPad.
Is it possible to have 2 or even up to 3 iPads to use this setup to access the same database to update a contacts table??
It doesn’t mean that they will access the database at the same time, but statistically it could be possible. My database is split with BE and FE.
Thank you very much and have a good week.
If you had different PCs (even virtual PCs connected to the same database) then sure. Joe, Linda, and Karen can all connect to their own PCs running Access that are connected to the back-end server.
I'd leave my PC running in 90 deg rotated mode
this is usefull in the case that pc is not shutting down
Richard, how can you use your phone to scan barcodes into your database? Example stocktaking scan the barcode an enter the qty.
I'd suggest finding a barcode scanning app, batch scan your barcodes, and then save that data to a text file. Import the file into Access, parse it line by line, and read in your data that way. As far as individually scanning items with a phone... I've never tried.
Hello, nice presentation I have been looking for it. Do you a video on how to connect access db to iphone if yes kindly share
That's pretty much what this video talks about.
you are legend
You are too kind. :)
Nope 😂 legend
I have a simple MSDB Access program that takes pictures and saves them to the person’s record using a webcam. Is it possible to use iphone or ipad instead of the webcam? I’m able to connect the iphone or ipad to the computer, but Access does not recognize it as a “camera”. Any Suggestions?
I don't use Crapple products, sorry.
the pc at work that has to be running, will it work if the account is logged in but the PC is locked?
Yep. But you'll have to unlock it remotely to use it. Therefore anyone watching your terminal could jump in or see what you're doing. The only way around that is to use a virtual PC or cloud desktop. 599cd.com/ADC
What about an Access for employees? I mean is there anyway to have an application via access for multiple user? Which employer gonna be the admin

Cool
Sweet
Can you pls make a video on how to open access files on mobile ?
That's literally what this video shows. There is no native Access app for Android or iOS.
How to make thermal invoice in Ms access
Please tell me
Make an 599cd.com/Invoice. Get a thermal printer.
Other than virtual desk! new workspace should create in windows and use the access app. Will be more than happy than this.
Cool
If you created an app that runs Access on a mobile device, you would sell a ton! I would only want 2% for giving you the idea. LOL
Yeah... LOTS of people want Access on their phones or tablets. It would be nice to have a native app. Unfortunately, that's not my forte.
