    I used this process, went over couple times, the walls are squeaky clean. Ready to paint. Thank you for sharing this video. God bless.

    Pretty much. I do a quick wipe wet it with water and a little dish soap really helps break that glue down. Then wipe with clean water and dry towel gets all that glue off. Then either good primer+paint or primer then paint. House i bought lady looooved wall paper lol

    What is the ratio of vinegar to water?

    I took the paper down and the glue is dry as can be. Not tacky at all. Should I still remove the glue or can I get a good primer from Kills and just prime it?

    • @nitrokyosho
      @nitrokyosho  3 года назад +3

      Yes I would take a hot bucket of water and a sponge and wipe the glue off if you don't it could have a chemical reaction with the paint not adhering properly. It's quick and easy to do.just wipe the walls with a sponge and hot water.

    Great video for a simple approach. Am sure your next video will suggest to prime the walls to seal any glue residues. Thanks again

    Will this work if the wall was never painted underneath and it's basically untreated sheetrock?

    • @nitrokyosho

      Yes the demo I'm doing it on is a wall that was never painted

    You never made the follow-up? I didn't find it anyway.. my bathroom wallpaper was from the 60s and I believe was put up with paste. Hot water doesn't seem to dissolve it easily like you are doing here. Do I need a different tactic or just keep at it again with hot water? Thanks!!

    • @nitrokyosho
      @nitrokyosho  2 года назад +1

      You can try a steamer there pretty cheap $50.00 at home depot that will be stronger than a sponge and hot water.

  • @Stolesher

    After I removed the wallpaper (took me literally less than a minute, pieces came out by themselves) the whole wall was covered with green goo (glue?) How do I remove it? I tried water, soap, vinegar, hydrogen peroxide, none of it works.

    • @nitrokyosho
      @nitrokyosho  Год назад

      I have never seen green glue should be clear or white not sure but sounds like who ever put the paper on used the wrong product. It should wipe off with a dense sponge and hot water.

      @@nitrokyosho looks like a kid painted the wall with a watery green color and it's completely removed from the actual wallpaper which itself comes off easily.

    Hi, thank you for the video. I'd seen another video similar to yours where the person used a wet sponge and I started doing it with that. The paper doesn't come off as easily a it did in your video or theirs. It almost shredded when I did it. I know it could be my technique, but could it be due to how they applied the paper? Could it be because I didn't use hot water?

    • @nitrokyosho
      @nitrokyosho  2 года назад

      Yes you need to use hot water

    • @bhappy8892
      @bhappy8892 2 года назад +1

      After wetting the paper, let it soak for 10/20 mins before peeling it off. I personally soak the entire wall at a time, while one wall is soaking I go back to the previous wall and remove the paper. Believe me the whole row will come of in one pull, just like cutting softened butter☺️. You have to be patient. Try it and let me know if it worked for you. You may have some tiny pieces in the corners that might need a plastic spatula to loosen it out.

    Hopefully an easy quick question. When can one sleep in the room after the wallpaper has been removed and the walls have been wiped down? Do you have to prime it first?

    • @nitrokyosho
      @nitrokyosho  2 года назад

      You can sleep in the room immediately there's no health hazard danger, I use water based kilz primer low odor I slept in the room after painting same day. I Also use behr paint water based low odor.
