They should run the stand up trains on October 18 each year.
Zach Dillon they can't because they have to change over the trains
Some parts have been scrapped and some parts were used as parts for other rides.
Except the front car of one train is now at the National Roller Coaster Museum.
They need to auction off that sign it is history
Even though I never been to Cedar Point, I feel that a lot of people miss this ride but love the new one

When they started that audio for mantis it made me cry ( I own a cedar point video that has all the rides on it even mantis and disaster transport and this is the audio )
Mantis was my first stand-up, since King Cobra was gone the year right before I would've been able to ride it. I still prefer it over rougaru any day

PEOPLE Everyone thinks that ceder point is getting rid of the Mantis, well they aren't all they are doing is changing the color, seats, and name.

No, never. I rode Mantis back when it was first installed in 1996 and I don't see the need to welcome something new that has new seats and a title. There was nothing wrong with the mantis.

this was the very first roller coaster i ever rode way back in 1998. i was 14 and it was my birthday
Man thats a beautiful color on that ride. The track layout looks very similar to Magic Mountain's Riddler's Revenge!
Incorrect comparison. It 94 percent looks like Green Lantern at Six Flags Great Adventure. Look at the videos of it. It's basically a mirror version but only a different ending.
I was always too scared to ride Mantis but I always enjoyed watching my brothers ride it😂 (we were there opening year)
I'm really mad because I went that year I was too scared to ride it so now I can't ride it 😭
ultimate .sports you can go back and technically still ride it! All they did was change the colors, the name, and the seats!

I am glad they are making the change because the only good part of Mantis standing up was the first drop and the first big loop.

As much as this ride hurt my sweetbreaded dangly bits it was neat standing up down that first drop. After that though my Bojangles were knocking on disasters door. Smack smack smack. I needed like a week before I could make them cream donuts perform to perfection.

Closing? As in present tense? It's been gone for nearly two years
no, they're not. They wouldn't have been built, nor would they have run for so long, were they not safe. The reason they're closing one by one is because they're simply not popular. Standing up doesn't make the ride nearly as interesting as you might think, and they are incredibly bumpy.
Why is is rougarou colors?
I fricken hated that ride. You couldn't get comfortable on it and it beat your head around really bad. Everyone's picture afterward looked like they were in sheer agony. Rougarou is a lot better. It needed this upgrade.
I used to call Mantis Banshee 2.0... Now it's Banshee 3.0....
I feel like I'm going to confuse a lot of people by saying that
Man FUCK this ride I'm glad they turned it into a sit down coaster, it's still the same ride but hopefully a lot less painful.
