I don't know if I'm crazy but something sketchy is happening with the Ukrainian National Final. I noticed this last year too. 2019: 9 of the 10 finalists filmed their videos in studios or places with really bad acoustics while one had a highly produced and developed video with props which ended up winning the selection. 2020: 10 out of the 11 finalists film their videos in studios or in front of plain backgrounds while one has a lot of props. I like Oleksandr Balabanov's song and I wouldn't mind it going to Junior Eurovision, but if it wins then we all know that in order to go to Junior Eurovision in Ukraine, you have to have a massive budget to afford these elaborate music videos. It's quite unfair.
Last year Oleksandr also took part in the selection and filmed his song in a professional studio, with everything. And what about Sofiya - her family didn't even have enough money to record her first album that they planned for more than 4 years, they even created their patreon so that people could help them with the album. And about that books, believe me, it's not that expensive to take a lot of old books (here in Ukraine every family has a lot of them, historical reasons) And put them on the wall 😅
