  • This week I had a lovely conversation with 3 good friends of mine: Matt Jones, Bill Thoo, and Matthew Joseph.
These 3 gentlemen are not only talented photographers - they are also talented artists. They often share their paintings and sketches in a group chat.
As someone who is keen to get into art, I was keen to explore the intersection of art and photography and learn a thing or two. Questions include:
Which came first? art or photography?
Show and tell 2-3 pieces of art you're proud of
How has art affected or enhanced your photography?
Does making art come at the expense of photography?

Just an update, since this video went viral I have now worked out how to photograph my acrylic paintings and not get heaps of reflections. You'd sort of think it would have been obvious, but sometimes you can forget things. A circular polariser is the answer :)
