Having been to Australia. I would have to say, if you get the chance to go, then go as it's an amazing country full of culture, stunning scenery and lovely people. I'm looking forward to seeing more of it through your fab posts x
I have been to Australia a few times. Last in 2020 and got caught in the bush fires in Victoria and had been rescued by the great men and women from the Australian Navy. Forever thankful! But surely I will be coming back 😊 I ❤ Australia and the laid back Aussie way of life
Alright, so I’m in Tasmania, We have the Tiger Snake here. There are a few things I do as I have a dog who comes with me everywhere. I don’t tend to hike in the bush come summer. We hike more from middle August to middle Spring. The snakes are more scared of you than you are of them. Making some noise as you walk helps to scare them off. There are simple things to remember - don’t poke a stick down a hole, it could have a snake or spider. Be careful lifting logs, snakes & spiders. Certain times of the year up north stay out of the sea, the further north in the tropics the water isn’t the safest - crocs. Southern Aus is croc free, but the bigger rivers could have Bull Sharks in them. It’s talking to locals with the bigger rivers near the coast to know where is safe. The further inland up rivers you find Bull Sharks. Rock pools with warmer weather watch for Blue Ringed Octopus, I’ve never seen one, but I do look carefully before entering. Spiders give me the heebee jeebies, safe or not. Huntsmans have me running from the room 😝. Generally it’s common sense applied to our native fauna. The fauna here are on the whole not aggressive, unlike places like the USA, with bears, cougars, coyotes, wolves, or in EU where some places have bears & wolves. Most people bitten is due to stupidity or not paying attention to where you’re walking. My dog and I tend to swim more in the warmer weather. Where I am in Tassie we rarely come across sharks, water is too cool for them.
**CRACKING UP** Don't worry, I'm staying right here on the couch in Texas but I love tagging along to see where you go...and I'm glad you kept it secret, they'd just ruin it!
I think Australia being that dangerous says something about it being attractive not just for humans but for other life forms as well. It definitely deserves the wild competition!
Sorelle, your videos are of the same high quality as national geographic videos. It's great that you are applying your talents to such topics as humans and nature, humans in nature, nature in humans.
I lived in Florida, USA and we had our neighborhood alligators and various venomous snakes. I just watched where I was going and let them pass. If anything the alligators were afraid of us. We also had coyotes, bobcats, panthers and bears.
Sorelle, I have to tell you, you are hitting hard the phase of the next Sorelle!!!❤ The environment transforms you and this is visible in your face and your videos. Keep going, don't give up. I see a bright future coming up to you. Thank you for letting us witness your journey through life. ❤
As an Aussie - the level of danger is definitley hyped up. If you're in the cities, you're lucky to see a huntsman spider. Out in the regional areas, you just got to educate yourself on what to look out for, but it's nowhere near as dangerous as people make it out to be. Far safer here than most places in the world!
I think we have to see it in comparison. In Germany there isn't even anything to be afraid of whatsoever. The worst think that could happen is walking into a nettle with bare legs. Compared to that, having to know what to watch out for already seems like a lot of effort. 😂
@@oliviakrause3336 you dont have to worry about anything because europeans already killed anything that could ever harm a human beeing and yet the same europeans want to lecture the rest of the world on how the threat the enviroment.
Your photography/videography was what originally attracted me to your site several years ago and it what’s bringing me back now along with your stories. I missed a bit of Iceland but will go back and catch up.
Thank you for still being here!! I’ll go back to iceland one day and story tell better. Don’t think I fully gave that country justice, or at least right now I feel my videography leveled up a whole bunch and I’m itchy to capture iceland. So we’ll have Icelandic content one day again (possibly) 🥳
Girl i resonate so much with everything you just said hahaha I´ve been living in Byron Bay for the past 2 years and living with mice in the closet, hearing snakes moving on the roof of the house, checking inside your shoes for spiders, hearing cockroaches in the house at night even if you keep it clean... it becomes a part of your normal day, with time and acceptance of the land you are in. At the end of the day, i am grateful to be able to experience a place on earth that hasn´t been as touched by humans as many others and still lets nature take up as much space as she desires. Im not sure for how much longer the Australian Government will be so friendly with the animals and wild nature here. So im gonna enjoy being one of the few who has gotten the opportunity to experience a more raw unfiltered wild Earth - Australia.
Lived all over Australia, in the country too, up mountains, on the coast...... Been hiking, camping, mountain climbing and swimming in freshwater holes....Only seen a snake twice, crocodiles on a tour in the NT, spiders are in every country but the mystery bites are seriously a spoiler, that you have to deal with regularly. But it is so worth it. Keep on going Sorelle.
Hey Sorelle, good call on the...... not naming all of the beautiful spots.. Having spent many moons in the Oz outback, you too will become extremely friendly with all of its inhabitants, the Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Western Australia is still a secret destination, as far as I am concerned, its Rugged Coastline is out of this world.
Love your basic setup and the minimalistic approach. In a world of bolt-on accessories, gvm upgrades, and 'take the f'ing kitchen sink with you' vehicle-build, content creators, keeping it simple always is best. It harks back to the glory days of vehicle exploration without all the mod cons that clutter the experience. The biggest thing I will say you are missing, that will transform your travels is a chainsaw (Sthil domestic, cheap, light). Light, warmth, and hot water! And who doesn't like sitting next to a fire at night? A visceral woman's place is barefoot around the campfire at night. Fire also keeps those vicious Australian drop bears away! 😉
Your comments that you always have your guard up and live in a state of borderline anxiety really summed up living anywhere in Australia outside of the cities and towns. In other countries people look out for large predatory animals. The difference here is that our dangerous creatures like to surprise you by turning up in unexpected places, often in your house. Here, the smaller the creature the bigger the danger. Even some of our birds are raucous and aggressive. I've had to fight a Currawong for the pegs on the clothesline because he took a fancy to them. I walk out the front door and get threatened by Curlews. I've been chased in my loungeroom by a Huntsman as big as a dinner plate and woken in the night by thousands of baby Huntsman spiders that had hatched. I've been attacked by a Coastal Taipan ( lucky it missed), uncovered Red Bellies in the wood heap, opened the grill on the stove one morning to find a large Carpet Python curled up in it, and twice had snakes slide across my foot while I stood admiring the scenery or sat on the front step. Australia is challenging to live in. The funniest encounter I've ever had in the bush was at night, while we were hunting. Our mate was in front of me and he suddenly stopped and fell backwards. It was like he'd hit an invisible barrier. It was actually a massive spider web and the spider was HUGE! But is Australia a stunningly beautiful, diverse land? Absolutely!
I doubt it is any more dangerous than anywhere else you just need to take the appropriate precautions and wear suitable protection. I still would like to come to Australia for the opals and gold panning. Thanks Sorelle stay safe.
❤What a wonderful vlog 😊 I think it would be a smart idea to start a business for people who just wanna take a walk with you, enjoy your infectious smiles and positive outlook 👍 Also the videography is next level, you really show off the beauty of nature! Oh YES!!! I would ABSOLUTELY visit Australia after watching your video Sorelle!!! Are you kidding?!!? It looks TOTALLY GORGEOUS!!!!! Snakes and spiders don’t scare me- I respect them! A Washingtonian looking to escape a cold wet winter with a warm tropical Australian summer!!! 🎉😎✌️
I think Australian locals are good at being prepared. As you mention you adapt if you've been here a while. The biggest oversight many travelers commit in Australia is lack of preparation. I've witnesses individuals arriving wanting to do the Overland Track in Cradle Mountain with nothing but plastic shopping bags for a 2 day walk, only to be refused entry. I've also done tails in summer when there's snakes (I ran some of the overland track listening to Beyoncé so fun! I felt like I was making enough noise to deter snakes but we saw some. Possibly don't run the trails in summer? Snakes like to hide behind logs. Please do a video of Tasmania it's always left out - it's soooo special and my home state. I can give you some pointers. :)
I love keeping some places secret! It encourages people to get out and explore for themselves. Also pleeease use as much natural based soaps and products when you’re bathing in nature. To avoid toxins getting in streams and all the lives who depend on them 🙏🏽🌿❤️
Having lived in an Australian Bush property, I can tell you lots of animals can kill, but you'd really need to piss them off 🙂 I've danced with one of the most beautiful snakes in the world - the Red Belly Black. Visited Australia last year and the only wild animals we encountered were at the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. 😅 We had been warned about spiders and jellyfish 🪼 so we were vigilant and stayed out of the ocean. 🌊 Great trip! Highly recommend to everyone.
Come on.. if we go to these wild territory, we gotta adapt and respect. It will take a lot of time to really learn to live in these kind of places but if you did it, you can do anything 😁. Sadly many of us who mostly lived in city can't seem to adjust very well in wild.. takes a lot of time to adjust and learn. Hope you safe journey 😅
4 important things in life - Health, Freedom, Family and Integrity. To be successful surround yourself with successful people. Be kind to all you meet, smile at the world and take care :-)
I spent one year in Australia and I got stung by a bluebottle jellyfish (that was scary, but obviously not deadly. Didnt call an ambo because didnt have a travel insurande, lol... But I survived so All good...) Then I almost stumbled over a brown snake once, but I didnt, so that was fine too. I remember someone getting severely bitten by some spider at a bush party though... And I saw a taipan snake once and a redback spider once (but nothing happened) So yeah of course it has dangers (but many tropical places are like that, not just Australia! People seem to forget that...) And... It depends, danger.... people have a bit skewed sense of what danger really means, in my opinion. The most dangerous thing on earth are ticks, I got ill with Lyme disease from a tickbite in Sweden (which is otherwise deemed as a "safe" country regaring wildlife) 18 years ago. Still super sick. So, most of the world is dangerous in that sense. I freak out more by ticks than I would do by spiders and snakes I think. Hope to become a resident and land owner in Australia one day. Down Under caught my heart. Its been 15 years now, it's about time to go back soon. 💖
I think tourists should be much more wary about drowning than being killed by an animal in Australia. In 2023, 281 people drowned in Australia, many of whom did not grow up here, but over an 18 year period, 541 people (so 30 per year) died due to animals and most of those were non-native (horses, cattle and dogs).
Strangely... I'm kinda less scared to be in Australia, exploring and risking to come across Nature than being in a big city, exploring and risking to come across human. At worse in Australia me or the snake, the spider or else we're just trying to survive. In city I could be the one trying to survive and the other not. Great video has always ! Could ear your voice for hours ! kiss
In Australia the humans and the animals are all just living their own lives but we just happen to cross paths sometimes. It’s how’s one approaches this encounter to weather things become dangerous or not! Just don’t be scared but be aware and give right of way to the venomous ones ✌️
My toxic trait is that I want to be friends with all the animals I meet and when I lived in Australia it was so freakn hard for me to not touch those cute little spidies and snakes ... Australia was still the best time of my life, just don't think about it too much and listen to the warning signs, when it says, don't go in the water because of crocos, you stay out of it otherwise you are fkd...heard a lot of stories about the crocos but actually none deadly ones from snakes and spiders
Aussie here. Yes, lots of our wildlife are dangerous but if you are aware, know what to look for, you'll be right mate. I've been all over this glorious country of ours, seen and encountered lots of dangerous wildlife... still alive lol. As you said in your video, if you dress appropriately and have some level of knowledge, you'll be fine. If you befriend local Aussies, we're pretty generous with imparting knowledge and info about the area :)
I feel like this video was made for me :) I never wanted to go to Australia because it`s too dangerous. And I`ve been to some of the most dangerous countries in the world (as perceived by the governments and mass media). BECAUSE spiders! Snakes! Every time I see you bathing in those wild waters I get a mild anxiety attack! I think I`ll give it a pass for now... good luck to you Aussies!
I go camping all the time, and haven't seen a snake in about 6years 🤞 if you respect nature it'll respect you... Especially the yowies and the drop bears 😂👌
Thankyou for not saying where you were, I wish more youtubers would follow your example. Australia does have a lot of dangerous creatures, but it's really not a dangerous place, you just need a hint of common sense.
Ossum video😍 I’ve been enjoying your content for a couple of weeks now. Do you think there is an opportunity for us to work together on some video editing projects?
They are quickly destroying what was great about Australian cities - mass immigration/students etc overcrowding and cultural mishmash - you know what I mean. The country/rural areas are still great - the best people and plenty of Aussie scenery. Good luck.
🤩What a beautiful figure you have. A very nice taut body. Even when you're traveling, do you have some sort of exercise routine? You must have a little mobile gym in your car.💪☺️
😂😂😂 I love it! I’m in the US, and here I have to worry about humans shooting up the grocery stores and other public spaces. I’d rather deal with nature than my fellow Americans.
As an Australian who has travelled this country extensively by 4WD, and spent a lot of it hiking, fishing and hunting, the dangers are overstated. You certainly need to be aware of your surrounds, and aware of the different dangers depending on what part of the country you're in, but it should not deter anyone from experiencing the beauty that this land has to offer. You're more at risk in the cities, and like most major cities around the world it's humans that are your biggest danger, not the animals out in the bush. Enjoy your lap and safe travels. Looking forward to seeing it all unfold
@SorelleAmore my absolute pleasure. As someone who is about to embark on their own solo lap of Australia next year, and in desperate need to re-engage with nature and to find a purpose in life again, you serve as an inspiration to others.
What I'm liking most about your new videos is... all the smiles. Smiles, Smiles, Smiles and more Smiles. You are always smiling in these new videos and that is a reflection of what a great adventure you are living. I hope one day I can do a great adventure like you are doing.
The untethered soul, is 1 of my favorite books. Presently, I'm in Australia. I have been here since January....I'm from the usa. the nature in Australia taught me to lose my fears of spiders & snakes.
It truly is the best book. I think everyone needs to read it as the sole info for "how to: on life" I used to go every tuesday and thursday to meditate and see Mickey chat at temple of the universe. He's got the best energy in real life. But it always left me thinking, wow, everything "problem" or emotion makes sense now and you get that from the book too. Love this Australia content as well! I've been twice and the last time I traveled down the entire east coast. So gorgeous. Hope to go back and do the west coast one day.
Do you ever bump into anyone in these beautiful locations you visit/ stay? The shots are all so amazing and the way show yourself and troopy makes it look like only you and your vehicle exist in Australia and we’re living in some dystopian world of you exploring the untouched Australia
As someone who’s got a phobia of spiders, im really grateful you gave a disclaimer before showing 💛 also I have been watching your content for years and I’m so proud of you and happy I’ve tuned in and seen the journey. You inspired me to embrace my uniqueness and I hope to one day be my own boss exploring earth too 🌍🙏love from London
I visited Australia for the first time for a month at the end of last year and LOVED it! I definitely found more things that I didn't know were there to try and kill me but nothing stopped me from continuing to exploring! I'd move there tomorrow, fear of spiders or not!
I can’t handle how amazing and inspiring your videos are ✨ living outdoors is probably the wildest thing a modern person can do and you are sharing this with us. Gooosh I love you Sorelle ❤🥹 take care of yourself
Lived in and travelled this country for 30 years, it’s worth every bug and spider 10 fold. Golden rule is just check your boots in the morning and kick the log before you sit down.
@@SorelleAmoreIronically, only this year I neglected to check my boots one morning while camping at Lake Eyre, after an hour of usual camping activities, I kicked a log and disturbed a huge centipede that was in my boot. It gave me an almighty sting. “Do as I say, not as I do!!”
Wear shoes - always! Bindis, hot cement, spiders in the grass, ANTS!!!, snakes etc. But for real, I am going into the bush with nothing but a bag and good hiking boots, but in places like America you have to have BEAR MACE and maybe even an axe. Excuse moi? I will take the aussie bush over the american forests any day thx

Sadly many of us who mostly lived in city can't seem to adjust very well in wild.. takes a lot of time to adjust and learn. Hope you safe journey 😅
You're amazing ! Love from India !

such coincidence: i bought "the untethered soul" just yesterday. 😊
Epic read!
maybe i'm wrong but i dont feel like australian wildlife is as scary as north america's? definitely not as dangerous as south america's or africa
I feel like our wildlife in North America is just...bigger. Which doesn't always mean more dangerous, but it can definitely seem like it in comparison
I would agree with you
I think tourists should be much more wary about drowning than being killed by an animal in Australia. In 2023, 281 people drowned in Australia, many of whom did not grow up here, but over an 18 year period, 541 people (so 30 per year) died due to animals and most of those were non-native (horses, cattle and dogs).
Dang. Those stats.
A friend of mine just moved to Australia so yeeeesssss 🎉😍
My daughter had spiders in the fridge! What’s with that? I found only one in Exmouth and it was in an outdoor bathroom 😅 enjoy ❤
I wanna visit Australia one daaaay
Tiaaagooooo!!!
Awesome!☀
I wanted to stay blissfully ignorant to this part of Australia! 😂
I’ll have to enjoy it vicariously! Look forward to more!
Love your videos! What do you use to film?
A camera 🥳🥳🥳
Just playing ;) haha. Sony a7s4, 24-70 and 16-35mm g master lenses and PolarPro filters :)
Could ear your voice for hours ! kiss
I hear you! I will take the wildlife any day! 🥳🥳🥳
U forgot to mention the Drop Bears ;)
Hahahaha not helping.. *show water* I love you☺️💕
As an Australian, the most ‘dangerous’ wild animal encounter I’ve had was when a possum ran through the back door and into the bathroom!
👌
Aussie here. Yes, lots of our wildlife are dangerous but if you are aware, know what to look for, you'll be right mate. I've been all over this glorious country of ours, seen and encountered lots of dangerous wildlife... still alive lol. As you said in your video, if you dress appropriately and have some level of knowledge, you'll be fine.
If you befriend local Aussies, we're pretty generous with imparting knowledge and info about the area :)
The only thing dangerous I saw in this post was you in that swim outfit - nearly gave an old man a heart attack.
😂😂😂🫠🫠🫠
lovely
Tell us what went down in Island if you're ready too;)
You look great I'm your natural environment 😊
What camera do you use, nice depth of field
Sony a7s4 with g master 24-70mm, 16-35mm and sigma 200-400mm 🥳🥳🥳
@@SorelleAmorethanks
How do Australians make it to adulthood??? Everything kills you.....
Hahahahhahaha. Right?!
You need to talk with a camper maker
I feel like this video was made for me :) I never wanted to go to Australia because it`s too dangerous. And I`ve been to some of the most dangerous countries in the world (as perceived by the governments and mass media). BECAUSE spiders! Snakes! Every time I see you bathing in those wild waters I get a mild anxiety attack! I think I`ll give it a pass for now... good luck to you Aussies!
Did you mention the killer jellies
Indeeeed
Don't forget about the ants too. And please let me be your wingman when it comes to NEILA. 🙏
Oh yeah…the fricking ANTS!!!
Head on a swivel. With great danger comes greater joy.
TBH Every moment of life exists in a constant battle against death. If you let it bring you down, you lose.
🌞
Interesting that it used to be a penal colony.
Yuuup
👍❤️
Ossum video😍
I’ve been enjoying your content for a couple of weeks now.
Do you think there is an opportunity for us to work together on some video editing projects?
The reason i live in Nz🤣🤣
I have lived here for 50 years as a tree climber and a sailor, what else can l do...lm alive so this is clickbait.
It is clickbait 😂😂🫶🏻🫶🏻
And the most dangerous animal in Australia is the horse with the most documented kills, so I suppose everyone is going to a farm again
🥲🥹🫠🫠🫠
Have you ever been driving barefoot
Always in Oz
They are quickly destroying what was great about Australian cities - mass immigration/students etc overcrowding and cultural mishmash - you know what I mean. The country/rural areas are still great - the best people and plenty of Aussie scenery. Good luck.
🤩What a beautiful figure you have. A very nice taut body. Even when you're traveling, do you have some sort of exercise routine? You must have a little mobile gym in your car.💪☺️
Omg, why is this even a topic?? Every country has animals. It’s not dangerous. FYI- this is absolutely not a country for free humans!!
What the fuck is a Debbie downer and 'OUT' these places mean?
On behalf of everyone else who lives Australia - what a crap clickbait title Sorelle.
Sorelle in a bikini.
As if Australia wasn't hot enough.
😂😂😂🥲🫠🫠🫠
🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 thanks for chiming in!!
@SorelleAmore my absolute pleasure.
Dang. This is the best feedback ever. I’m so thankful for it. I am so grateful and content now. I love it!
Same ^^
The untethered soul,
is 1 of my favorite books.
Presently, I'm in Australia.
I have been here since January....I'm from the usa.
the nature in Australia taught me to lose my fears of spiders & snakes.
Heck yes!!
Hahahaha. So much land and so few people leaves space for many solo encounters I’ve discovered 🥳🥳🥳🥳
😂😂😂 I don’t know if you convinced me to not be afraid of all the dangers of Australia, but that being said, I would so love to visit someday!
Best advise!
Hahahaha. I hear that!!
